Matt Elisofon (1:28)

What's up, Bankers?

Brian Muller (1:30)

Hola, Bankers.

Matt Elisofon (1:34)

Como estáis?

Brian Muller (1:38)

No bien.

Jenny (1:39)

No bien, Bankers.

Brian Muller (1:41)

Mal, Bankers. I mean, that was bad. That was bad.

Jenny (1:50)

Muy malo. Muy malo.

Brian Muller (1:53)

Yeah, this is a little bit...

Jenny (1:53)

Muy malo, muy malo.

Brian Muller (1:57)

Um, Spain is what everyone wanted Vegas to be. And you know what?

I'm happy about that. I'm thrilled that everyone can come to the consensus that this race fucking sucked, because this is what everyone wanted Vegas to be. Everyone wanted the Monday morning quarterbacking after Vegas to be like, see, we told you.

Matt Elisofon (2:24)

They tried to make, they tried to say it was a disaster, because of Carlos Sainz's damaged floor.

It all goes back to Carlos Sainz when you think about it, Brian. Dude, he's like, oh, Carlos Sainz, his Thursday running was ruined, and therefore Vegas is a failure. No, no, that race was a classic. That was a fucking banger. It was the one race, the first race, it was the one race that Max Verstappen didn't walk away with.

Jenny (2:58)

Yes.

Matt Elisofon (2:59)

It was a fucking banger. They've been bangers.

And everyone was hating on it, going into it, hating on it, hating on it, hating on it. And you and I were nailed together on a cross, one on top of each other.

Jenny (3:17)

We didn't even get our own cross.

Brian Muller (3:19)

Yeah, on top of the Bellagio.

Matt Elisofon (3:20)

On top of the Bellagio.

Brian Muller (3:22)

In the middle of the Bellagio fountain, Matt and I on crosses.

Matt Elisofon (3:25)

On crosses. By the way, getting no money from Vegas, did not dime at that point for free, for free. Just saying, it's going to be lit. This is anti-American. By the way, during the Biden administration, being pro-America when it wasn't cool, saying America is the greatest country on Earth, and Vegas is going to be lit.

Then only after, I guess, the thing that we were saying is like people were reserving judgment for Madrid, kind of.

Jenny (4:05)

Yes.

Matt Elisofon (4:06)

Now, the pylons happening.

Jenny (4:08)

Right.

Matt Elisofon (4:08)

Whereas that grace was not given to Vegas at all.

Brian Muller (4:11)

No. Vegas was like there was a circle around Vegas, and every British podcaster and media personality was ready with their fucking boots to stomp on Vegas the second it faltered.

Matt Elisofon (4:27)

Yes.

Brian Muller (4:28)

It faltered a bit during practice because of Carlos Sainz, and they were like, time to stomp on it, time to stomp on it.

Then the race was lit, and the races have been continued to be either lit or pretty damn good. Yes. Then now everyone's realizing that Madrid is worthy of stomping on, so everyone's tying up their shoes and getting their stomping boots ready. It's a little bit late. It's a little bit late for that.

Jenny (4:49)

Okay?

Matt Elisofon (4:50)

Yeah. Also, all the worst people you know did their abroad in Spain.

Jenny (4:57)

Okay.

Matt Elisofon (4:57)

So just, when I went to college, the people that I, oh my god, Spain is so incredible. I'm like, you're a basic bitch.
