Introducing - The Devil's Quarry II

SPEAKER_1 (0:02)

If anyone wanted to commit a murder, up here would be the greatest place in the world to hide the body. But someone will find it.

Paul Solotaroff (0:12)

It's two weeks after Halloween 1997 Snow whips sideways into a dark squip of water about 60 miles north of New York City.

A mother and father either ripples intently. Their teen daughter Robin Murphy has been missing for two years. They've been brought to this pond by a Hail Mary tip. Someone saw a skull in the water.

SPEAKER_1 (0:42)

The skull was smiling and the skeleton's hands were outstretched, palms facing outward.

Paul Solotaroff (0:50)

The parents watches divers slide beneath the surface. Cops and federal agents, private eyes and psychics, even a self-proclaimed witch have tried to find Robin Murphy.

SPEAKER_3 (1:03)

I feel like when I get spoke, it's authentic.

SPEAKER_4 (1:08)

They all knew that I did the scary boogie stuff. And they said maybe she'll find out where this girl is.

SPEAKER_5 (1:18)

You start digging and then, you know, it kind of becomes almost like an obsession.

Paul Solotaroff (1:23)

If last season of The Devil's Quarry was a horror story, then this season is a ghost story.

SPEAKER_3 (1:29)

I want to show you something. So, this is the Robin Murphy file from the police department.

Paul Solotaroff (1:35)

After opening that Pandora's box, I'm haunted by two questions. Who did this to Robin Murphy?

SPEAKER_5 (1:44)

And why?

SPEAKER_1 (1:48)

Oh, I think he killed Bobbin.

SPEAKER_6 (1:50)

He acted friendly. He talked friendly. He sounded friendly.

I've saw him violent, backhanded or pow! Like almost knocked a f***ing head off.

SPEAKER_1 (2:01)

They actually thought they were going to get a confession out of him.

SPEAKER_6 (2:04)

And that's exactly what made us all think he had something to do with it.

SPEAKER_1 (2:10)

I can see her face right now.

SPEAKER_5 (2:12)

It's the fact that I know she was in there.

Paul Solotaroff (2:16)

The clock is ticking down and the woods are calling. There are a lot of demons in Putnam County, but I've met the devil and he's real. I'm Paul Solotaroff and this is Season 2 of The Devil's Quarry.
