The Knicks have a new target for their center position. The Knicks continue to monitor the free agency market. Their main priority is to add more size to the roster. They're already looking at a few options. Now, you can add another player to that list, Tony Bradley.

Shout out to Ian Begley for giving us this following information. One other note on the free agent signings ahead of training camp. Veteran center Tony Bradley has also been a player on the Knicks radar. The Knicks do not currently have a third center, but there is a strong degree of confidence internally in the Coral Anthony Towns-Andre Drummond duo at that position.

Regarding Tony Bradley, he's a current unrestricted free agent who remains unsigned in the market. Bradley split the previous 2025-2026 NBA season between the Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks. Combined across both teams, Bradley played in 41 regular season games and averaged 4 points and 2.8 rebounds, shooting 54.7% from the field. The 28-year-old is looking for another league opportunity to play in his 9th NBA season, after being drafted with the 28th pick in the 2017 draft.

Tony Bradley adds to the growing list of free agents that the Knicks are currently looking at.

Tony Bradley is the latest player that the New York Knicks are monitoring for a potential signing ahead of their championship defense in the upcoming NBA season. Previously, reports indicated that the Knicks were linked to both John Konchar and Drew Eubanks as they continue to seek front-court enforcers. New York currently has 13 players on guaranteed contracts, and they're still looking to fill that 14th roster spot.

More than anything else, the Knicks need to add more size to the team. Their priority should be adding another center to the roster, and they're looking to do that given the names and free agency that they're currently targeting. We can't forget though, the Knicks are currently active on the trade market, looking to make another deal happen before training camp starts. But they're also looking at free agents. That means for New York is committed to adding more size to this team, one way or another. But we have to go back to Ian Begley's initial report. Although he mentioned that the Knicks are currently monitoring Tony Bradley, Drew Eubanks, and a few other free agents, we have to go back to exactly what he said about Drummond and Kat. Internally, there's confidence in that duo to maintain the center position. Now, to me, that tells me that New York is also comfortable playing small ball. Because if you're okay with only those two being your center options, what happens if one of them is injured, or in foul trouble, or can't go for that game? Then you have no other options at center. So what are you going to have to do in that situation? You're going to have to play small. And that means additional minutes for OGN and OB at the 5, potentially Mohamed Diawara at the 5, since he has the wingspan, athleticism and height to actually play that role if New York wants him to do that. And they could also do some other different lineups to try to man that 5 position if and when Towns or Drummond can't play for whatever the reason may be in these select games. This is why it's important to understand what the Knicks want to do here. But as I mentioned before, New York is actively monitoring the trade market. I dropped the video yesterday informing all of you guys that the Knicks are still talking to multiple teams trying to trade for a center. So for me, given all of this information, it sounds like the Knicks prefer to add that other center to this team.
