The Nets want to steal Mitchell Robinson. I think I'm going to be sick. Physically sick. This Mitchell Robinson situation just keeps getting worse. But this update by far is the worst to date. The Brooklyn Nets are actively trying to steal Mitchell Robinson from The Knicks. Let's take a look at these latest updates.
Shout out to NBA insider Mark Stein for giving us this following information. Mitchell Robinson could be one of the most talked about names when NBA free agency begins. And the Brooklyn Nets are reportedly preparing to make a strong push for the veteran center. According to the Steinlein, the Nets have genuine interest in signing Robinson away from The New York Knicks. If the move happens, it would become one of the biggest crosstown stories of the offseason, with Brooklyn targeting one of the longest tenured players on its rivals roster. According to the Steinlein exactly, they state the following, The Steinlein has learned that the Nets have legitimate interest in trying to sign big man Mitchell Robinson away from the team across the East River that just won its first NBA championship in more than 50 years.
And it's not just the Brooklyn Nets. We have to remember other teams are circling, but the Los Angeles Lakers, they continue to be mentioned as a team that could sign Mitchell Robinson as soon as free agency begins. Shout out to basketnews.com for giving us this following information. Signing Robinson would also create plenty of attention in New York, with one franchise landing a key rotation player from its biggest local rival. And all of this is happening coming off of the heels of new reports indicating that the Knicks are currently frustrated with Mitchell Robinson. Take a look at these reports.
According to Steve Popper of Newsday, he states the following, There has been frustration in the organization with Mitchell Robinson and his free throw struggles, and no one was pleased when he broke his right pinky in an off-court incident in the postseason. Everything is looking like the Knicks will lose Mitchell Robinson in free agency. Multiple teams are interested in signing him. The Nets, the Lakers, the Celtics, the Kings, I mean, we could keep going. So many teams want to sign Mitchell Robinson. Some of these teams, they want to sign Robinson because they actually need help in their front court. Some of them need a backup center. But another reason why is because the Knicks just won a championship. And how can you hurt the Knicks the most? By signing one of their more important players in Mitchell Robinson. So that's another reason that's on the table. If New York loses Mitchell Robinson, there is no...
