This is the DNVR Broncos Podcast from the Toyota Lounge, and today we've got a pretty weird show. We've got a lot to talk about. We were out at training camp with a thousand Broncos fans, which was awesome.
And it was supposed to be a show with me and Ryan with Zac calling in, but Ryan got pulled into a meeting. So what we're going to do is talk to Zac, not just for the first segment, but for the first half of this show before Ryan comes down and we'll get his thoughts in the second half. Should be a good time. And we might as well just head straight out to the Xfinity Mobile call in line and hear from Zac Stevens who's still down at the Broncos facility.

What is going on, Henry? I'm a little offended that you said having me on for two segments makes the show weird, but you know what? I guess weird can be good sometimes.
**Henry Chisholm** (0:45)
Yeah, I guess mostly just weird for me because I'm just kind of sitting here alone waiting for Ryan. Or weird for the viewers when they don't see Ryan for the entire first half of the show, but do see him jump on for the ads.
**Zac Stevens** (0:58)
You keep saying Ryan and I'm looking at a Ryan myself right now. We've got Ryan Green behind the camera right here. There's the finger from Ryan. There's so many Ryan's. You also got Ryan Cotter making social content. We got a lot and Henry, we've got a lot to talk about for the past two days. You and I have kind of had to be a little muted on what happened because we're not allowed to fully get into details. Well, since fans were out there today, we get to say everything. As you said, if you're a Bo Nix fan, you're going to like today's show. But if you're a Jalen Watto fan, if you're a Marvin Mims fan, if you're an Evan Engram fan, if you're a Riley Moss fan, I think you're going to like today's show a lot as well.
**Henry Chisholm** (1:40)
Yes.
I think we just start at the top. Just start seven-on-sevens and run through everything and see who that gets us.
**Zac Stevens** (1:47)
Sure. We can do that because Bo Nix was very good today. Actually, I haven't looked at the seven-on-seven notes in a minute because I was focused on how good he was in the team period. Why don't you tell us what happened? I've got the seven-on-sevens now. But Bo Nix was great in seven-on-sevens. He started off with a pass to Cortland Sutton in the middle of the field.
On the left side, Brandon Jones slipped, which might have helped to take away an interception. I'm not exactly sure where Brandon would have been on that one. But then Bo said, okay, that wasn't a fluke. I'm going back to the air again, get Pat Bryant on a 30-yard completion down the field. And it started off with a bang with those two plays.
**Henry Chisholm** (2:30)
Yeah, I mean, you love on the first day of training camp, the very first throw to just be like the throw that is the best connection between Bo and Cortland. Like it's that dig route that they run over and over and over again, whenever they get in a pinch and need a chunk, that's the route you throw out there. And so for the first play, it's fitting that that worked. And then the corner route to Pat Bryant, you got Brandon Jones rotating down. He's supposed to be matching Pat Bryant following up the field, but Pat is too fast for him. I think Brandon thought if he gets up to me and tries to run past me, I can just flip my hips and run with him. And Brandon Jones was almost in position to make the play. It took a pretty perfect throw to get that ball to Pat, and he caught it, and I mean, just beautiful.
**Zac Stevens** (3:17)
Yeah, it was. And then I do love how the very next play after two big completions, Bo's feeling himself, and he's like, you know what? I can go after Pat Surtain if I'm connecting on these passes. So he tries it, and Pat Surtain says, no, but I'm still a defensive player of the year. He tried to hit Cortland Sutton in the middle of the field, and Pat was just in smothering coverage, knocked it down. It was a fun little reminder like, okay, yeah, that guy's still on the other side, as fast of a start as it is for the Broncos offense. Pat Surtain is still on that side, but I like that Bo was feeling himself just two plays in to the first day of training camp going there.
