My big problem with all these things is there's always going to be extreme examples where this is a great thing. Like I said, if that Waymo stopped the school shooting, amazing.

That's just what you are. All right, let's talk first about Waymo. So everyone's really excited about self-driving cars, but there's a story recently that there's two 15-year-old boys out in California. They were driving around in the Waymo, or being driven in the Waymo, and they had like a paintball gun, essentially, and they were drinking. So underage drinking, and they were shooting people out of the windows.

I don't see... So where is the problem? What's the story?

**Anthony Pompliano** (2:30)
They didn't see a problem, obviously.
Long story short is that Waymo allegedly only realized this because it was unique experiences through their cameras inside the vehicle. They realized that these kids were shooting the paintballs out of the car. They called the police, they disabled the vehicle, they tricked the kids and told them they were having some car trouble, just stay in the car, and then the cops show up and get them in trouble. I think they got arrested or whatever.

Yeah.

**Anthony Pompliano** (2:55)
Self-driving cars sound awesome. Getting essentially kidnapped by the car. Even if they're waiting for the cops. That sounds like this is gonna get really weird.

**Kevin Clancy** (3:05)
Yeah. I'm not one of these doomsday conspiracy guys when it comes to technology more often than not. Just being in the space I'm in, like I find technological advances to be a good thing.
And then the tin foil hat people start to go crazy. And a lot of times I'm like, all right, relax. But when you start to see, like, oh, I'm starting to see how this could be an issue. Like, you know, in a case like this, like if that was a real gun, probably be a good thing, right? We'd be saying like, wow, Waymo stopped these kids from...

They stopped an active shooter.

Right, right.
And it's not... It's like, I understand where the confusion could have happened in this specific instance. But, you know, the old slippery slope sort of thing, like where do you draw the line? If you are, somebody is, you know, on the phone, like screaming at someone in the back of a Waymo, can they decide that that person is dangerous? Or, I don't know, you have some drugs on you, or whatever, what's supposed to be in a private moment. If Waymo is just watching and probably watching like, who can we call the cops on?
