Yeah, that's an interesting question. How did you get your accent, Alpesh?

**Alpesh Doshi** (0:24)
How did I get my accent? Well, I grew up in England, and I came to the UK when I was little from Kenya. So I was a baby when I came here, and so I've been here all my life. But I changed my accent. So I lived in a place called, if some of the audience who come from the UK, you know a place called Leicester. Leicester has a specific accent, like lots of regions around the US, obviously, and the UK. And I didn't like the accent. I want it to be more, it's called RP, receive pronunciation. So having an accent which is more acceptable.

More London-like.

**Alpesh Doshi** (1:01)
And there's, yeah, and there's the class, as I'm sure you know in Britain, there's a class system. And if you speak in a certain way, people think you're from, so I changed my accent so that I was more acceptable to the kind of people that I was working with in, you know, in financial markets and that kind of thing.

So it's kind of a thing there in the UK. I lived there for three years. So I'm very familiar with the whole class thing, unfortunately. Okay, well.

Alpesh, you're supposed to say, I don't have the accent, you guys have the accent.

Where do you go? I can't tell where you're from. You have accents, but I have no idea where you're from in the US.

There you go, that's good. I was actually born in Switzerland, but nobody would have figured that out.

And so maybe just to kind of kick things off, maybe an easy question, tell us a little bit about your journey. And for example, maybe weave into that, how you would describe the big shift that's happening today in work models.

**Alpesh Doshi** (4:08)
I mean, I've been around a while. I've worked in tech for 25 plus years. I've worked across different industries in financial services, in insurance and media. So I've worked in many industries. And earlier in my career, you were asking me earlier about accents. You'd have to dress in a suit. You put your tie on, you put your shiny shoes on and you get on the tube, the underground, the metro and go into the city of London, if you know what the city of London is. And you set your desk with your suit on every single day. And that did that for God knows forever.
