IGF-1 Masterclass | A Complete Research Guide (2026)
The Hunter Williams Podcast
October 13, 2026
Most people treat IGF-1 LR3 like a muscle peptide you just add to the cart. I want to slow that down a bit.In this masterclass I break down IGF-1 LR3 and IGF-1 DES. Both are modified versions of the IGF-1 your liver makes.

Hey, everybody, this is Hunter Williams. I hope you're doing amazing wherever you might be in the world. I am excited today because I think this is definitely one that is going to be appearing by popular demand. And today's master class is going to be on IGF. I'm actually going to cover two different products because they kind of fall into the same category here. You've probably seen both of you. You're familiar with the peptide research world. One is called IGF-1-LR3, and the other one is called IGF-1-DES, or D-E-S.
I just call it IGF-1-DES. And they're more or less the same product. The half-lives are a little bit different. But practically, when we talk about applications for research purposes, they're very similar, and we would use them in very similar situations. There's actually another product. I'll probably give you some anecdotes today that is actually bioidentical IGF-1. That's called Increlex. I do have a little bit of personal experience with that, but I'll sprinkle that throughout the presentation today. For most people, that's going to be very, very, very hard to get their hands on, and basically impractical because of sourcing and cost. And so for the purposes of peptide research, we're going to talk about IGF-1 LR3 and IGF-1 today, or IGF-1 DES today. I'm going to go into the research behind them, some of the mechanisms that are going on in the body. And for you guys out there, I'm going to give a lot of my own anecdote today, because this is one, it really came, from my understanding, out of a lot of the bodybuilding world, probably 10 to 15 years ago when peptides were starting to make their way into the bodybuilding world for performance purposes.
And it was really meant to be a substitute for NCRLEX, because NCRLEX was really hard for people to get.
Never really lived up to that expectation. And in terms of bodybuilding, it wasn't something that was making people win the Olympia or anything like that. But when we talk about it today in the context of muscle building, muscle growth, supporting all of the process in the body that lead to muscle growth, this can be one that actually I would feel comfortable saying applies to the category of muscle growth peptides, if that's really a thing. I think when we talk about peptides, they're not directly building muscle, but they're help supporting a lot of the processes in the body that do build muscle. Whereas we look at things like hormones and anabolic steroids, you really see like substantial muscle gain coming out of those. Obviously, that's in terms of the anabolic, that's something that I really talk about. And during the hormones, we obviously need a hormone baseline to be able to build muscle, but some of these peptides we can sprinkle in as nice to have. So that's what we're going to cover today. I'm excited for this one. Definitely one that in terms of popular demand is out there, so I'm excited to get this out there. But as always, before I get in the slides, please make sure you're on the email list. That is the best place to stay in touch with me. Should censorship rear its nasty head anytime in the future. Also too, if you want more private access to me, the best place to do that is my private group, the Axion Collective. The link for that is always in the main link down below. And also too, check out my AI Chat app. As of now, that is in the App Store on Apple and the Google Play Store, so you can actually get that on your mobile device and use it there, and it's a little bit better than the web-based version, although the web-based version is great too. Stay tuned. If you are a user of the app, I'm going to be rolling out some new features very soon to where you can upload PDFs and images and things like that. So stay tuned on that. But without further ado, I'm going to share my screen, and today we are going to talk about IGF1.
