Observe, the North American dad, 50s, great polo collection. He enters his vehicle information on Carvana. An offer appears in minutes, remarkable. He squints, reads it again, smiles and says, dang, that's a good offer. The highest form of approval. No haggling, no hassle, no one called him boss.
He's still on the couch, astonishing. Sell your car today on carvana.com.
Pick up fees may apply.

What up, ladies? This is Lisa Bilyeu, and you are listening to another episode of Women of Impact, and today's conversation is both personal and gutting. I'll never forget, and I'm sure if you're roughly my age, you feel this too, of being that young person glued to the TV thinking, there's no way OJ did it. He's the good guy. He's super funny. He's charming. He's that guy. But here's the thing that no one told us, especially when we were younger, the mask is the last thing to go.
And the first thing you miss. So if you've ever doubted your gut because someone seemed just too nice or too successful, or too fill in the blank, or they just didn't fit your idea of what an abuser looks like, or what you thought of, then stop what you're doing right now and listen up because this episode is going straight to the heart. And we're talking about the hidden truths with Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, and a woman who's lived every family's worst nightmare. This is not just a story, it's not just tabloid gossip. This could actually be you, it could be your sister, it could be your friend, it can be someone in your life. So Denise bravely walks us step by step through the manipulation that she saw coming with her own eyes, the secrets that Nicole couldn't say out loud, and the type of charisma that seduces the whole damn freaking world. In the middle of it all, Nicole's own words, we grab her real journal entries that reveal the actual pain that she was going through, the fear and the confusion behind closed doors that no one ever saw until now. And here is where we talk real, the heartbreak of loving someone who keeps you locked into a cycle of secrets and the, he's just having a bad night excuse and hope that things will change, only to find out it just gets worse. We also talk about the stories that you've never heard before straight from Nicole's written journals and how even 30 years later, Denise is still discovering new truths about what abuse actually looks like.
We then talk about the horrifying stats nobody's actually warning us about, why women leaving is the most dangerous thing that we can do, and how to build your safety plan step by step so you never feel trapped in the turmoil of that relationship. And then we talk about the dark playbook of abusers, using kids, using pets, and every family tie that you've got to drag you back in. Now, if you think it couldn't happen to you or someone that you love, think again, Denise Brown thought exactly the same thing, and look what happened. And so this is the episode that hopefully finally shatters that silence. So my homie, buckle up, we're getting personal, we're getting real, and we're about to hear the things that most families never have the guts to say out loud. So let's do this right here, right now on Women of Impact.
You wrote, My beloved little sister, beautiful, breezy, and busy making summer plans at a family dinner, one moment was brutally knifed to death on her own doorstep a few hours later as her young children slept inside. There was never any question in my mind as to who did it. I knew from the minute we got the 6 a.m call from the LA Police Department who was responsible.
So Denise, take me back to that moment. How did you know?
Denise Brown (3:51)
So at 6 o'clock in the morning, I was in the kitchen making breakfast, and all of a sudden at 6.15, I hear this scream out of my mother's bedroom in her end of the house. It was like something I had never heard before. It came from her gut, and I ran back to her bedroom, and I said, oh my God, what is it? She goes, your sister has been killed. At first, I thought it was a prank phone call. I said, this could not be possible. We just saw her last night. How can this be? I grabbed the phone out of my mom's hand, and I said, who is this?
He goes, Detective Tom Lang. Your sister has been killed. Your sister has been murdered. I said, oh my God. At that moment, it was just like this, so fast. I just reacted to, oh my God, he finally did it. I think all the things that I remembered in the past and things that made me feel like that is the only person that could have done it. I said, oh my God, he finally killed her. He finally did it. And he said, who? And I said, OJ Simpson.
