Elon Musk was doing an interview with a lady from The Economist and it's interesting what directions this went. This interview went viral all over the place. Couple clips I want to show you on what Elon said to her that she herself was kind of shocked and she didn't know how to answer, but he pushed back, go for it. This is one of them.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:44)
Are you anti-Muslim?
**Elon Musk** (0:46)
I am, I'm against having, if people are coming to a country with antithetical views, I am against that. I'm against, you know, I'm against, I'm against rape and murder. I'm against the imposition of rules and laws that are contrary to what we've come to accept in the West.
And I think it's a crying shame that the sort of traditional media, like you, don't recognize this.
**Patrick Bet-David** (1:43)
Very common sense, very common sense stuff. And then she pushes and says, hey, how about your right-wing positioning? You know, you're, a lot of your power, you're agreeing a lot with the right-wing things that people are saying.
And, you know, he pushes back, yeah, far right. And she pushes, she pushes back and then he pushes back. Kay, with the interviews, is this the one falsely going to normal people? Yeah, that's one right there. Watch this one here, go for it.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:06)
Not just the populist right, but the far right. In fact, very fringe parties in some countries.
**Elon Musk** (2:10)
No, I support the normal people.
**Patrick Bet-David** (2:12)
Okay.
**Elon Musk** (2:12)
What you call a far right falsely.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:14)
You think is the normal person, okay.
**Elon Musk** (2:16)
Yes.
Literally, you could go back 10 or 15 years and these policies were completely normal. In fact, one of the tricks that I think is funny. I think it's quite funny is to take a speech from Obama and Hillary and then go to someone who's on the sort of what I call the lunatic left, and say, what do you think of the speech by Trump? I'm like, oh wow, he's the worst person ever. Actually, that was a speech by Obama. Or actually, that was a speech by Hillary.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:53)
I agree that the center of gravity in this country has shifted, certainly the Democratic Party shifted to the left, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about people like Rupert Lowe.
**SPEAKER_2** (2:59)
No, I'm talking about people on-
**Elon Musk** (3:01)
Please, it's actually just normal people. It's just normal people.
And here are the principles. And tell me, which of these sound terrible? That we should have secure borders, that we should have safe cities, that we should have sensible spending.
Which of those three are far-right fringe? And I would like to just admonish you and the media for the absurd characterization of the far-right. It is and misleading and nonsense. Please keep this part in.
**SPEAKER_5** (3:34)
We'll keep all of this in.
**Elon Musk** (3:37)
Don't cut this part.
**Patrick Bet-David** (3:38)
Pause it. Tom Thoughts.
**Tom** (3:40)
So, well, you know what? It just, it shows you the absolute intent of the media.
The economist has become a lobbyist of the left, and they feel, one of the points of liberalism is you have to call people to victimhood. And so the media feels that it is almost like the protest vote. So the concept that the economist would come and draw the supply and demand scissors, the familiar charts that you see, John Maynard Keynes and others made famous, and just objectively look at the numbers and look at the impact of supply and blend. No, instead, we are a lobbyist, and the economist is a lobbyist. She is not impartial. When you read the articles, the economist has lost its way. And I'm not going to go off on that. I'm saying, this is emblematic of the entire media. And finally, someone like Elon sits down, and they allow this to actually go out. So I'm glad that this actually went out, and I'm sure that what was going on was that if Elon was smart, he probably had his people filming at the same time.
It's something that, you know, Vinnie, we had a PR consultant that said, hey, when Pat does interviews with large publications, tell them, if you don't mind, I will also record this. That's all he says, and he records it, and then later, that's kind of a check and balance, because we're like, wait, did they clip it? Did they stop Pat when he was saying something? Don't let a sentence being finished to create a impression. And God bless whoever Elon had with him, that this got out like this in its full cloth, so you could see him speaking about the reasonable positions and about the regular people and how the media is trying to portray all of us in this position as the lunatic right, when it's reality, it's just the lunatic left.
