They just got fined $1.2 billion from the US Treasury for violating money laundering and sanctions laws. I retweeted that news and I tagged Elizabeth Warren, but wait a minute, I thought crypto was the only avenue for money laundering. Everybody who uses crypto is money laundering, right?

We got to call out the hypocrisy because we know anti-crypto folks like Elizabeth Warren and others have continually tried to make crypto the boogeyman, that everything illegal happens with crypto. And that is a flat out lie, right? Because we've seen time and time again, major banks, JP Morgan and others, they get fined for money laundering and doing all types of nefarious activities. In fact, we know there was a huge fine going back a couple of years having to do with Epstein and I'll leave it at that. You guys know the news around that. But we got to call this out because there's still that misconception out there. Sometimes I bring up crypto to people and they're like, I'm not used by scammers and money launderers. And it's like, what?

That's what you know.

It's just a technology and we need to fight bad actors, not the technology because clearly they're still using the traditional banking rails to do nefarious activities. So again, I tagged Elizabeth Warren to call her out on this. So again, we got to fight this type of FUD because there's still those anti-crypto people out there that want to go around painting the picture of crypto as all illegal activities when a regulated banking system is doing these things, right? And it's not just Bank of America, it's been happening to all the banks. So just some info there. But nevertheless, let's move forward. We got huge news of TradFi Adoption of Crypto. And guys, make sure you watch and listen to the end because it's a lot of big stuff. So first up, S&P executes its first ever on-chain derivative swap.

And guess what, folks, they use the Canton Network. Many even know I'm very bullish on Canton. I told you guys about that very early. I added it to my portfolio. So here's the headline. DRWN MAREX complete OTC swap referencing tokenized S&P IBOX index. The S&P Dow Jones indices says the trade shows how blockchain rails could link benchmark data, licensing and derivatives management in one workflow.

So again, guys, everybody's on the same page here. All of TradFi, integrating blockchain technology, tokenizing, using blockchain for data transfer, and much more, they are all building. So the total return swap executed on Derivnex platform on the Canton Network references, the S&Ps, IBOX USD Liquid Investment Grade Index, Kaiko tokenized the benchmark and provided official index values to support ongoing trade valuation. So the transaction illustrates how blockchain infrastructure could connect benchmark data, licensing, and derivatives management, potentially streamlining traditionally fragmented institutional trading workflows according to the S&P Dow Jones indices. So again, guys, they're using blockchain to fill in the gaps, move the traditional markets on-chain. Very bullish news. And again, Canton Network was used here. So this is where I often state, look at which blockchains are being adopted by these institutions and then look to take your bets accordingly. Obviously, you have to do your research. There are more factors you have to look at. But this is where you want to see what are these big institutions using which blockchains, right? And as mentioned, you want to try your best to have those in your portfolio. Here's some other bullish news. BNY, Citadel Securities, Tests Tokenized US. Treasuries to Speed Up Wall Street Financing. Now, many of you know BNY, America's oldest bank and also the world's largest custodian. And you got Citadel Securities, Powerhouse and the markets, right?

And again, look at what they're doing. Testing, building with blockchain technology. So the transaction shows how blockchain-based government bonds could help trading firms move collateral faster between settlement and financing. So as you all know, when an asset is on the blockchain, you have instant settlement, you have transparency, you have real-time access and movement. So that's what they're trying to do for the traditional financial markets, move them into what crypto is. Trading 24-7 real-time settlement, going from T plus 3 to T plus 1 to now atomic settlement. That is what's being built, folks. So huge news here. So let me give you the details. The transfer focused on collateral, a key part of financial markets. Banks and trading firms use US government bonds to secure short-term loans and fund trading activity. Moving these bonds between accounts and settlement systems can take time, tying up assets that could otherwise be put to work. The effort comes as Wall Street explores bringing traditional assets onto blockchains. Firms including BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, JP Morgan have embraced tokenized funds and securities, betting the technology can shorten settlement times, automate processes and make assets easier to move. So clearly all the benefits outlined here. Here's a quote, efficient movement of high-quality collateral is fundamental to well-functioning markets, said Dan Daugherty, Digital Assets Operations Lead at Citadel Securities in a statement. He added that reducing delays across the trade lifecycle could improve how institutional markets operate.
