Okay, Andy Green. I gotta say something, he is pushing all the right buttons from what I could see. And he's putting something in that club, the culture he's, when he talks about the baseball, when he talks about his performance, he's concise, he's to the point, unlike Mendoza, which you'll feel like you're out in a raft in the middle of the ocean with him. Randy, I think Andy's doing a fantastic job. What do you think?

I mean, I think he's doing an okay job, but he's not gonna be the manager next year. He's already taken out of the road job. So it doesn't, he's managing a dead team. Is he doing a decent enough job? Sure, I guess.

The rest of this season for the Mets is not about being competitive. It's not about how many games can we win. It's not even about what our ultimate record is. It's the continuation of the development of the four or five young guys that are going to be everyday players for them next year. More at bats, more situational game, all that stuff, more experience. That's it.

It's going to be very interesting to see because this is not what I've been told. And you could play. I don't know if I'm right. I've just been told this, that this is not a great free agent crop. It's not this particular off season.

So it's going to be very interesting offensively with a probable lockout on December 1st, 2nd, 3rd of the date actually is. Which means nothing then but obviously becomes important.
Are there teams that become incredibly active in November?

It's a very interesting question. It's an interesting question whether teams want to get deals done, whether players want to get deals done, or wait until after, it's going to be.

This is not typical for baseball as much as it is for other sports, mostly football. Do not be surprised, because again, not a great crop, you confirm that, it's not the greatest free agency crop, right?

I mean, Scoobel is going to be a free agent, so the heat is huge.

But it's not like 50 guys are all kind of going after it, right?

No, offensively, there's hardly anyone. The question now, going in Jazz was going to be one of the big time free agents.

The question now or the thought amongst some of the baseball people that I've talked to is that, regardless of what the Dodgers do or don't do in the World Series, win or lose is irrelevant to this, that you're going to see the guys that do get signed, the deals are going to look a lot different than most baseball deals from this perspective.
