Welcome to the Work Hard Mom Hard Podcast. My name is Kari Keating. I'm a business coach, lifestyle entrepreneur, mother of three and mindset junkie. This podcast is devoted to bringing you motivation and inspiration, but most importantly, practical tools to help you create clarity in the chaos. Because when you have clarity, you can let go of the hustle and get back to what really matters. This is a conversation about what it means to be a working parent in the new paradigm, because we believe that the hustle isn't necessary to build a life we are proud of. We believe that when we come home to who we truly are, we are able to show up, not only as better parents, but better members of our community. We build better businesses and therefore build a lasting legacy we're all proud of. With us, the chaos is curated to support our values of gratitude, freedom, alignment, and above all else, family. Welcome to the conversation. Are you ready? Let's do this.
Hey friends, welcome back to another episode of the Work Hard Mom Hard podcast. I'm super excited that you've decided to press play today. And before we get started in today's topic, I wanna just take a second to just take a deep breath, a collective breath together, and just be in awe of the fact that we don't even have to really think about it, and that we have this beautiful life here on this earth, that we're here today, that you're able to press play on a podcast, on a little device that's held in your hand, that you don't even really have to think about, right? We have such sweet opportunity to really appreciate the small things in life. And with so much tragic things, so many tragic things happening around us, this weekend was really tragic, not only here in our community, we lost some really incredible souls to a tragic accident in the Encinitas community, and then also what's happening in Texas. You know, it just puts a different perspective. If we are able to use it to put a different perspective on our lives, we can make our lives that much sweeter and truly honor the people that have passed. It doesn't take away the pain, obviously, but we can also use that gratitude and that presence to hold space and send love to the people who are experiencing deep, deep pain. It's not easy to, when times are heavy, when my heart is heavy to press play on, or press go on a podcast, but if I can continue to use my voice and continue to show up to help you live a more fulfilled life, to help you live a more present life, and truly take... My goal, I've been thinking about this a lot, is to really help people, moms specifically, create more space in their work, create more time in their lives so they can focus on the things that really matter. Business is business, right? And it's really easy to get caught up in, well, I have to have this amazing launch, or I have to land all these clients, or whatever it is. But the reason why we're doing it in the first place, if we really go back to why we're doing this, is so that we can enjoy our lives, have more time freedom and all those things. And if we keep waiting until we have the million dollar launch, or a specific amount of zeros in our bank account, we will be waiting and waiting and waiting and missing out on the time that truly matters. And so if we can find the balance now, if we can become that person now, if we can step into our future self now, we will not only be more present in our lives, we will be honoring the lives of the people who are no longer here with us.
And I think that's really, really, really important to understand. Yeah, I know life gets hard and there's things that are standing in our way and everything else, but the reality is we should be grateful for every moment that we have.
We should be grateful for every moment that we have and all the pain that we have because it's teaching us how to step in and expand into a different and deeper version of ourselves and really enjoy each moment deeper and deeper. So that's my invitation to you today, wherever you're at in your business. So we're gonna have a conversation. I'm gonna switch gears a little bit to really understand fear and how to use it as fuel. But before I did that, I really wanted to just take a moment to truly acknowledge like you guys, this in our mind, this is why we're doing this work. We are doing this work. If you listen to this podcast, it's most likely because you are doing work as a mother, as a parent, as someone who manages a lot of things, right? You might not have children or maybe you want children or wherever you're at in that journey.
