Hi, welcome back to InGrace. This is Jim Scudder. Today we are going to be talking again about the End Times and Bible Prophecy in our series Armageddon's Dawn. It's basically a verse-by-verse study of the book of Revelation. And if you were listening yesterday, you know that we covered one part of one verse. We covered the first five words of Revelation. Today we're going to cover some more of the first verse, which starts in Revelation, the Revelation of Jesus Christ. So the book of Revelation isn't revealing the End Times. It's actually revealing Jesus. So the first time he came as a humble baby witnessed by shepherds in a little town called Bethlehem. He rode in to Jerusalem on a donkey. He died on a cross.
None of that shouts power and dominion and majesty, does it? Well, he came the first time as a humble servant to die, and also to show us what real life is, and that's to be a servant. But his second coming is nothing like his first coming. He comes on a white horse with his armies, with his saints, in splendor and majesty and brilliance. And that's what the revelation of Jesus Christ is. Today, we're going to continue verse one of chapter one, and it says, which God gave unto him to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass. I do believe these things are right around the corner. And I also believe that revelation really helps us unlock Daniel. Daniel was probably really, really difficult for those that didn't have revelation. But now that we have it, it kind of unlocks some of those things. And there are incredible parallels between Daniel and revelation. So today, it's all about understanding how to study the Book of Revelation, how to study Bible prophecy. And I hope you'll be blessed by this entire study, but especially our study of how to study Bible prophecy today here in InGrace. Hey, something that will really help you as we go through this study is a prophecy chart called Armageddon's Dawn. We've got this absolutely free. Let's look at the second part of Revelation 1-1, which God gave unto him to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass. So the whole point of Revelation, the whole point of our study is to show, to reveal, for us to understand. You know, it's interesting. Daniel was told in Daniel 12-4 to shut up the words and seal the book. The book of Daniel was really hard to understand until we got the book of Revelation. Now we can understand it in light of Revelation because Revelation, we're told, in the end of the book, look at 22 verse 10, seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book for the time is at hand. Why does one place say to seal it up? Another part of the Bible says to not seal it up. It's because we're in the last times. And that's what Hebrews says in Hebrews 1-2, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son. So we're learning about the end times, the revealing of Jesus Christ. Revelation helps us understand all of these things for the time is at hand. I don't know exactly when it's gonna happen, but I really believe it's soon. You know, we have a song that we sing, and the words are maybe soon, and we change it to will be soon.
