All right, there's this amazing book called Getting Everything You Can Out of All You've Got. I read it a few years ago and it changed my life.
And the reason I loved it was because it basically talks about how to get and make more money using things that you already have.
Coincidentally, today's podcast is brought to you by Business Made Simple. It's a podcast by Donald Miller, who I'm gonna tell you about in a second, but he has this amazing episode that's all related to this book and the things that I learned in this book. It's called How to Make Money With What You Already Have. It's an incredible episode. Talks about all the stuff that I learned in this book. The host is Donald Miller. I didn't know who Donald Miller was up until recently, but over the last 12 months, this is totally by coincidence. It was all separate people. They said, you have to check out Donald Miller. He's amazing. So I'm happy that he's part of HubSpot's Podcast Network. You can check it out, Business Made Simple Podcast. It's where he coaches you on how to build your business like an airplane, where the cockpit is your leadership, the body is your overhead, the right engine is your marketing, the left engine is your sales.
You have to check it out. This guy's amazing. It's called Business Made Simple with Donald Miller.

Like, yeah, if you want to pre-buy Southern Sam's Sticky Icky, you need to just DM me on Twitter. My Twitter is SeanVPDMB and say, I'm in on Southern Sam's Sticky Icky.
**Sam Parr** (1:25)
All right, before we get in the episode, we got to say something really quick.
Shaan, I sent you that thing to share. So if you go to Shaan and Ori's Twitter profile, you'll see it. Or you go to ratethispodcast.com/mfm. It stands for My First Million. ratethispodcast.com/mfm. If you leave a review for us on Apple Podcast, we're gonna select one person. Are we selecting one person? Oh no, we're selecting six people. And we're gonna give a grand to six different people. And we'll announce that winner in a couple of weeks.
We're doing this because if we get more reviews in a very particular amount of time and you get more momentum, you go up the charts. And if you go up the charts, you get more listeners, or at least that's the hypothesis.
**Shaan Puri** (2:03)
If you get more listeners, we get more excited. We, our egos grow. And I know that's what everybody wants. So let's do it.
**Sam Parr** (2:10)
Yeah, I just went to a conference today, Cody Sanchez's conference to talk. And dude, everyone listens. It's pretty fun.
**Shaan Puri** (2:17)
How was the conference? She has, her brand is like Contrarian Capital, I think it is.
And so this was the Contrarian Conference or something like that.
**Sam Parr** (2:28)
Yeah, and I love her and I love the conference, but it was kind of silly. Like in my head, I was making a joke because they had Contrarian merch and they had like hundreds of the same ones. And I was like, well, if we all bought this, like that's, you know, it doesn't really work that, you know what I mean? Like, so anyway, it was great though. No, she was cool. I asked, I think there was probably 300 people I asked who listened. I felt like everyone, all their hands went up.
People were talking about us. They always confuse our voices, but we get that all the time.
**Shaan Puri** (2:57)
All right, I love it. And I was supposed to go to that. I didn't go.
You went, there's like a bunch of different motivations people have for going to these things. What was your motivation? Because some people would say, oh, going to these conferences is kind of a waste of time.
And other people say, no, I love it. I'm network. I learned things.
**Sam Parr** (3:14)
I just want because she's my friend and it's near my house.
**Shaan Puri** (3:18)
And then in general, but you've gone to some of the, some other ones like this, like the podcast one you went to recently or stuff in New York.
What, I guess, give people how you think about this stuff because I think it's good to have like a frame of like, okay, this is why I go to these. This is how I go to them. And this is what's come out of it for me.
**Sam Parr** (3:37)
I like meeting people who I know on the internet. That makes me feel good. And I also like going, you know, I've paid money to go to some events. I've paid 5,000, $10,000 to go to some events because I can meet one person and become a lifelong friend with them.
