Hello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Lords of Limited. Whether you've been drafting for two days, two weeks, two months, two years, 20 years, if you've been going since 1993, if you love Limited, Magic the Gathering, this is the podcast for you.
Draft, sealed, we've got you covered. Both are great in Reality Fracture, which is our current format. My name is Ben Morning. Joining me on the line, as always, Mr. Ethan Infinite Coursework Sax, which is what you are going to need to do as an audience to study up, because this format is complex.
Ethan (0:47)
And but that card is not one that you need to be going deep on. That's the two and a blue enchantment removal spell.
Ben Morning (0:54)
That's so bad. It's so bad. Unplayable.
Ethan (0:57)
You got I'm not there. I don't want to say unplayable.
Ben Morning (1:00)
You got you got to never play. Something has gone wrong if you were playing it.
Ethan (1:04)
OK, well, that I feel personally attacked by that claim, but I've put some Infinite Courseworks in decks. Also, you want you're saying people have been drafting for two days. Our target audience. I'm nervous. That makes me nervous.
Ben Morning (1:18)
No, they're welcome on in. We welcome all comers. If people love draft, OK, this is the place for them.
Ethan (1:24)
Well, if you love draft, you're eating good in the neighborhood because this format is I'm about ready to put it on the all-timer list for me. Like this is this would go in in Goat Tier.
Ben Morning (1:37)
Oh, this is this is for sure going in Goat Tier on our on our rankings of all the formats. For sure.
Ethan (1:43)
I've already started thinking about some cards for the Lords Limited Cube from the set as well. Oh, well, we'll talk about that another time. I don't need to don't need to to bore the masses with it. But I just I'm so excited to talk about this format with you because we really haven't very much like we'd really like as much as I feel like we're simpatico. And I feel like we're very in tune with each other. We are in contact quite a bit. We really try and save the takes for live on air. So I put a bunch of stuff in the docs. You added a bunch of stuff to the doc.
And we're going to talk about some revised format truths for the format. We just have a whole slew because I do feel like that's where the meat is quite a bit. The whole slew of individual cards to talk about, because there's so much going on card by card in this set, that it's a lot more about these little things that work together in my mind, than it is big picture like, well, you want to end up in archetype X if you can, or whatever. There's so much nuance and niche things that have come up in just one week.
Ben Morning (2:50)
Yeah, absolutely. And unfortunately for me, or fortunately, I mean, this I think is a feature of the format, not a bug, but as I am crunched on time, the games are so long in this format.
Ethan (3:03)
The games are so long. Yeah, the games really do go long. That's one of our updated format truths. So we got a jam-packed Google Doc here. We have a lot to talk about. Let's do a little housekeeping, and then we'll dive into what we've got going on here. So first things first is the Patreon page, patreon.com/lords of Limited is where folks can go to give back to the show if they so choose. But the show will always be free. We've got great perks over at the Patreon if you're thinking about supporting the show in that way. Two things we always want to shout out is access to our Discord.
I'm a little sad to say that the rotisserie drafts of the Lords of Limited Cube have been on pause now that everybody's diving into Reality Fracture. But that just means that all of the discourse around Reality Fracture is popping off, and it's been really fun to chime in, to be a fly on the wall throughout the week, to talk about some cards, to give feedback, to receive feedback, to see what people are winning with early and often in the format. So that's been awesome for the Discord, and then higher up in the reward tier rankings is access to our podcast feed, where you get not only this episode a day early ad free, but also access to our weekly bonus episode of Lords Unlimited, where anything goes. It's usually a continuation of the discussion of the week, doing a draft log. But as the weeks wane, as the weeks of a format wane, maybe we're going to be talking about the Lords Limited Cube or whatever the other niche offerings on MTG Arena are. So just a lot of good stuff there, and then obviously some personal anecdotes as well from me and Ben. So if any or all that sounds of interest to you, or if you want to check it out for free, you can do a free week trial. Head on over to the Patreon, and we want to shout out our new patrons. The first week that they joined, so this week we're welcoming Crypto, Josh Barr, Thin Yow, Ekster, Edward, Alex, and Patrick. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We really appreciate your support.
