I've probably made at least half a million bucks just golfing for fun. She goes, don't you meet all your best people golfing? I was like, yeah, for sure. The golf course has the richest people in the world, but she goes, I don't know, it just seems like there's something there. And I sat there and I thought about it after that event, after she said it, and then I thought of the model that we have today, and I was like, bro, this model's gonna crush.

Yeah, you did a home birth. I remember that. And you were in your house and then came here in 2024 And damn, dude, it's been two years, two and a half years.

Talk to me a little bit about the new mastermind we just launched and everything, because I think that what you're doing here with M19 is fricking sick.

**Ryan Pineda** (0:55)
Yeah, you know, I've had lots of businesses in my life, and so I love what you're doing with acquiring and helping people do it. I've actually, I was telling you, I've never actually like bought a business. I basically started every single one from scratch, and I don't advise it because it's like very difficult to go from zero to whatever.
And especially I don't really advise starting new things that no one's ever done before, because it's like unproven. It's unproven. You don't really know how it's going to turn out. So that's kind of like what happened with M19.
Basically, it is a mastermind for business owners who love golf. That's the whole premise of it. And I've been doing this golf with Ryan offer for a long time. So I kind of already knew it worked a little bit. I started doing that five years ago because people would ask me for consulting and they'd be like, you know, do you do one on one? Do you do this? I go, I don't. But if you want to golf with me, you'll get four hours of consulting.

And we'll have fun. And they're like, bro, let's do it.

So Carlton Dennis did the same thing.

Yeah. So he copied it. He was on the show. He's like, bro, I totally stole golf with Carlton. It was great. But we, I didn't really know how much people would pay or what it was. So five years ago, I just put a story out one day. I go, hey, if you want consulting, you ever asked for it, come golf with me because I'm going to do it anyways. And I put it out for 2,500 bucks and literally 20 people bought day one from one story. And I was like, that was crazy. I underpriced it, you know, like I'm booked out the next six months every Friday, with all these people. So then it went up to 5K, then 10K. And I just literally did it for years, just as like a fun side thing.
Then in 24, I had my first ever golf retreat. And so we went to abandoned dunes.
We took four or no five guys. And then I took three of my team members, we had a blast. It was just a great time. And then last year, I did it again. I go, let's do like making an annual thing. So we went to Paines Valley in Missouri, 12 guys. The Tigers loved it. Yep, Tigers is sick. And at that event, everybody was like, bro, how do we stay connected? When's the next one? We got to do this again. Everybody was just like hyped. And so at this point, you know, I've done it for like four plus years. And I've probably made at least half a million bucks just golfing for fun. And I sat there and I thought about it and I go, well, I just don't know how you would scale it. Obviously it's cool and it's fun. But like, I don't know how it could be worth like putting so much effort into building a whole business, right?
And so I went home and I contemplated it. And part of the story too, is my wife.
At that current time as well, I was thinking, I was like, man, I want to start being around higher level people more often. Because like most of my career has been helping other people. Well, yeah, helping people rise up, you know, and make six figures and then turn six to seven. But, you know, very rarely do I get to hang out with guys who are already at seven, eight, or even nine. And she goes, don't you meet like all your best people golfing? I was like, yeah, for sure. The golf course has like the richest people in the world. But like, yeah, I don't like, what am I going to do an event every month? And it's like 10 people like, okay, we could do hard to scale. Yeah, it's hard to scale. We could do $100,000 a month. Yeah, I'm like, it's just, it'd be a distraction, even though it'd be fun.
