Let's keep marching forward with the position groups. This time, we're going to talk about the Auburn Running Back Room. Let's get to it.
Welcome on in, everybody, to The Auburn Express TV powered by The War Rapport. You got Ike Jones in here talking a little bit more about Auburn Football. Going position group by position group, we've already done quarterbacks. Now it's time to talk about the Running Back Room for Auburn University. Make sure that you go ahead and share the content with somebody out there. We're going to go through each one of these groups and try to get through as many of them as we can before the season starts. We got time, so let's go ahead and push forward with it. Running Back Room is next up. Here's how the room currently sits. You got senior Jeremiah Cobb out there. Tay Meadows, the senior, transfer over from Troy. Bryson Washington Jr. transfer over from Baylor. Nikai Davenport, the sophomore, transfer over from USF. Omar Mappsen, sophomore, transferred over. Well, he's not a transfer, excuse me. He's been at Auburn. Auburn Henderson, sophomore there was at Auburn already. Christian Burnett, Cole Gamble also already at Auburn. I have him listed here in terms of number of snaps that they took last season. So let's just kind of go through this one by one and talk about the different guys that are in this room. First, we'll start with Jeremiah Cobb, who is the presumptive starter in this position.
Last year, he was able to amass 969 total yards, 5.5 yards per attempt on his 175 rushing attempts last season. So just shy of 1,000 yards, a guy who's gonna be coming back, he's put on some more weight in the off season. So by all accounts, he is a guy who is ready to deal with the abuse really that's gonna be coming from playing a very physical position at running back the Auburn Tigers this year. An emphasis is gonna be placed on running the football for the first time in his collegiate career. He's been in an offense that's really going to be trying to center around the ways in which they can run the football. So expect to see a heavy dose of Jeremiah Cobb this season. When I look over at the PFF numbers for him from last year, we didn't do too much PFF diving into the numbers for the quarterbacks, but we build for every position group going forward, just because there is more of an opportunity for different people to be in here in the conversation or who was going to get playing time. But PFF numbers for him, offensively he was rated at 73.2, his best game last year ratings-wise versus a power four contest, because I'm not gonna go into like Ball State or anything like that, was a 78.6 that he had versus Arkansas.
