How Christian Men Should Think About Money
All In Podcast
October 7, 2026
Money can be one of the hardest things to talk about, especially as a Christian man. This week, John Michael and Luke unpack what it actually means to have a healthy relationship with money, from the pressure to look successful to the shame that can come with not having enough.

John Michael (0:46)
What does our Lord say about money?
Luke Lendiak (0:48)
The Lord gives in abundance to our first parents, to Adam and Eve, and it's okay to have stuff, but there's a responsibility that comes with it. Yes, we had kings and queens being saints. We also had the poor and the destitute.
John Michael (1:01)
Here's how you know you're in the middle class. Your entire family dresses up like cows to go to Chick-fil-A on National Cow Day to get free Chick-fil-A.
Luke Lendiak (1:10)
That's like the joie de vivre. That's like the exuberant joy of life.
John Michael (1:13)
It's fun, dude.
All right, Luke. What's going on today, man?
Luke Lendiak (1:18)
Dude, I think I mentioned in an earlier episode that I was getting caffeinated. I'm doing the same thing.
John Michael (1:24)
God, your arms look amazing. Oh, put those away. Have you, have people ever complimented you on your veins?
Luke Lendiak (1:29)
Yes. Yes, my vascularity.
John Michael (1:32)
What is that? How do you get that?
Luke Lendiak (1:34)
Genetics.
John Michael (1:36)
I've tried, I've tried some, some pep to, I'm just kidding. I have, it's just purely genetics.
Luke Lendiak (1:43)
My grandfather was a sailor.
John Michael (1:44)
Show your, show your veins. Your forearm veins are insane.
Luke Lendiak (1:48)
I mean.
John Michael (1:49)
It's absurd.
Luke Lendiak (1:50)
Yeah, they're not even that good today.
John Michael (1:52)
Well, give you a, like a, have you hold a kettlebell for like two minutes.
Luke Lendiak (1:56)
Yeah.
John Michael (1:56)
And then they'll be exploding. You ever taken like, like any sort of pump product?
Luke Lendiak (2:03)
No.
John Michael (2:03)
Before, before doing like a chest day.
Luke Lendiak (2:05)
I've like ripped some pre-workout.
John Michael (2:07)
Caffeine.
Luke Lendiak (2:08)
Yeah, just like.
John Michael (2:09)
So some of these companies make pump. Have you seen this?
So it's literally a product. It's not pre-workout. It's during, it's like an intro. Yeah. So you take it while you're lifting, and it's supposed to produce, it basically produces more blood flow. Okay. And so that feeling that guys enjoy, they look in the mirror, and they have that pump, you know, the muscles are looking bigger, this enhances it. So the one I have is literally called Endo Pump, and it literally says a pump enhancer.
So when you take it and you're doing like an upper body day or curls or something like that, you look like an alien.
Luke Lendiak (2:50)
I mean, the best workout in the gym is the tricep extension, baby.
John Michael (2:52)
Just an alien. You got a third, you got like a muscle you didn't even have there. I'm going to flex the rest of this episode.
Luke Lendiak (2:59)
I'm just going to grip these handles.
John Michael (3:00)
I'm jealous, man.
Luke Lendiak (3:01)
Do you take it when you're doing like high rack stuff?
John Michael (3:03)
No. Because it's just different. Yeah, it's just more, it's more cardio, like even pre-workout sometimes, like, if you take pre-workout and then you do like a hard, kind of like a Metcon type workout, like something super high output, it just does not a good feeling. Like you feel like you're about to have a heart attack.
Luke Lendiak (3:23)
If you got five rounds, you can whip the first two.
John Michael (3:26)
Right.
Luke Lendiak (3:27)
And you hit halfway through round three and-
John Michael (3:28)
Yeah, crash, crash hard. So I'm like- This morning, I did like a 60 minute, kind of like AMRAP type workout.
And I didn't-
Luke Lendiak (3:38)
A 60 minute AMRAP? Yeah.
Okay. Hopefully some, a lot of stations, a lot of variance. Unless it was just like push ups.
John Michael (3:46)
Four stations with like, four stations with max cows.
It was basically, it was four cows on the ski, the row, the assault bike. Then there was a burpee movement, and then there was a run movement.
