**Kirk** (0:04)
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another special GeekVerse review. I am one of your hosts, the lone gold cloak, Kirk from Patsy.
**Taylor** (0:15)
I'm the Boromir, Taylor from the Old.
**Kirk** (0:19)
Not hiding a lot with that nickname. I guess it's not really signifying who that character is. But ladies and gentlemen, we're here to talk about House Of The Dragon. This week is episode six of season three.
And actually, that being said, we've started to just jump right into spoilers on these reviews. So that's your little disclaimer. If you aren't caught up with the show, if you haven't seen episode six, bow out now because we're going to be jumping right into spoilers. And if you haven't seen the show and you just want to stick around, we can have you here too. Yeah, but before we get into the episode, just a quick couple of things to shout out. We had a very hot and heavy weekend with some crazy Comic-Con news and updates. You, Travis, Chris Balga and David, is that who was there for the live reaction panel?
**Taylor** (1:09)
David Reese, I believe is the name.
**Kirk** (1:10)
Yeah, Mr. David. I didn't even know he had a last name, that guy. He's just David to me. But yeah, so I unfortunately wasn't able to make it, nor was Dylan, but you guys held down the fort and had some fun, exciting news to talk about. Check out the feeds for all of that.
Yeah, and what else is going on? We just did our Odyssey review that's on the feeds. Check that out too. That was a fun breakdown of a movie watch along there. What else do we got going? X-Men 97's still going. Still going.
**Taylor** (1:39)
Right?
**Kirk** (1:39)
I'm pretty behind on that, so I haven't been on any reviews actually for that show yet. So, what else?
**Taylor** (1:47)
Spider-Man this week?
**Kirk** (1:48)
Spider-Man this week. That's right. Yeah, that's the big one closing out end of July. Taylor Field, I can't believe we're already at the end of July. We're jumping into August come this weekend. It's pretty nuts.
**Taylor** (1:58)
Summer's over already.
**Kirk** (2:00)
Summer's over, but House Of The Dragon isn't, and that's why we're here to talk about all that's in here. So, yes, we're going to jump right into it, ladies and gentlemen. Like I already said, disclaimer, we're going to be jumping into the spoilers. Taylor Field, the Boromir, how do you feel that we're at this point in time, that our favorite guy to hate in the show, Mr. Sir Kristen Cole, has dropped dead by the arrows? Were you satisfied with that being the way that he went? Did you think it was going to be a big final standoff battle?
No.
**Taylor** (2:30)
I feel like they dragged this guy on for so fucking long. Holy shit.
Now they did it within the first 30 seconds of the episode. They opted to do it now.
**Kirk** (2:41)
I know, right?
**Taylor** (2:41)
I don't understand the narrative behind it. Like, was it trying to build up a sentiment or a following for the guy? Because I didn't have it at all in this season. And season one, I was very engaged and I felt for him. I think I was defending him back when we were doing the review for season one a little bit. But in season two, he's playing on the Alice in Heart and all that kind of stuff. Now here, I can't follow the guy when he's got these men and they're fighting for a cause but they believe in. He's like, you know what? I'm just going to go fucking die.
And then half of them desert him. And yeah, then he gets Boromirred, you know, and I didn't feel at all we're going to get the big fight. They were trying to trick you. You know, he pulls out his little Alicent dainty little cloth and I thought he was going to take a whiff of it, but no, he just wraps around his sword and then-
**Kirk** (3:24)
Probably should have.
**Taylor** (3:25)
I mean, it probably should have.
**Kirk** (3:26)
It was terrible at this point in time. He's been carrying it for a long time on that dirty road.
**Taylor** (3:30)
Yeah, but I mean, I just I got to kick out of the Tellys and the Northmen. They don't give a flying fuck. They just had fucking Mrs. Legolas out in the yonder over there, just pelt him with three arrows. God.
**Kirk** (3:43)
Just three arrows. Yeah, that's right. Is that the same amount Boromir took? I guess so. He took, I think he took three to the chest and then one. Yeah, no, it was just three to the chest, three to the chest.
