Carton Show, Big Mac, getting ready for a wet weekend, but a football weekend to allow us to get over our tears of the Yankees being eliminated.

SPEAKER_2 (0:12)

That's right.

Chris McMonigle (0:13)

I don't know if that's possible.

Craig Carton (0:14)

Cowboys last night take one on the chin to Tampa.

Chris McMonigle (0:17)

Yep.

Craig Carton (0:17)

Did you see our boy, our buddy, our old pal Todd Bowles collapse on the sideline?

He didn't collapse though. He actually couldn't believe he actually won.

Chris McMonigle (0:28)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (0:28)

Excited, so excited. First win of the year for Tim.

Chris McMonigle (0:30)

Well, I mean, yeah. I mean, that was the best.

SPEAKER_4 (0:32)

But it looked like he had a heart attack.

Chris McMonigle (0:34)

Did he? I didn't see that.

Craig Carton (0:36)

He did not have a heart attack.

Chris McMonigle (0:37)

Well, I'm glad.

Craig Carton (0:38)

He looked like he had a heart attack.

Chris McMonigle (0:40)

I almost had a heart attack with his decision making. How do you not kick the field goal?

SPEAKER_2 (0:44)

Kick the field goal from the goal line basically?

Chris McMonigle (0:46)

What's the point of going for touchdown? Unless you're going to tell me, make a statement with your team.

SPEAKER_5 (0:50)

We want to put the game right now.

SPEAKER_2 (0:51)

Tell the team we believe in.

Chris McMonigle (0:52)

We can get a yard, two yards when we need it, damn it.

SPEAKER_2 (0:55)

Yeah.

Chris McMonigle (0:55)

Go up three scores.

Craig Carton (0:57)

I think what he was thinking was, they have to go literally the length of the field to even make this interesting. And then they went the length of the field.

Chris McMonigle (1:07)

And made it interesting.

Craig Carton (1:08)

Not just made it interesting, had the ball inside the 30 before the Ferguson dropped that became interception. That obviously ended the game. But I'm saying the same thing like, it ain't that complicated. And you have people in your ear saying, Coach, the chart says go for two, go for one, make a field goal, score a touchdown.

That one was rudimentary math.

Chris McMonigle (1:28)

No, yeah, he was just flat. That was a gut decision.

Craig Carton (1:31)

Yes, plus three, it's over.

Chris McMonigle (1:34)

Over. They would have to get three possessions.

Craig Carton (1:36)

By plus three versus plus seven, no real difference. No. It's three scores.

Chris McMonigle (1:41)

Three scores.

Craig Carton (1:42)

In the fourth quarter.

Chris McMonigle (1:43)

Correct.

Craig Carton (1:44)

From a team that you've done a pretty good job stopping today.

Chris McMonigle (1:47)

It was mind numbingly stupid. But thankfully it didn't matter.

Craig Carton (1:50)

But no one tells that story because they won.

Chris McMonigle (1:52)

Yeah, no one cares because they won the football game. And I mean, Daniels looked good for being an undrafted, you know.

Craig Carton (1:58)

Yeah, as a kid, it was actually like I had no rooting interest in it, obviously.

Chris McMonigle (2:01)

I mean, there was a couple of wide open guys running free. His legs were even helpful.

Craig Carton (2:06)

He seemed like such a likable kid, his mom and all that stuff. But it seemed like it was a kid who was easy to root for.

Chris McMonigle (2:14)

Definitely.

Craig Carton (2:15)

Yeah.

Chris McMonigle (2:15)

Especially against the Cowboys.

Craig Carton (2:16)

But the one thing they did about his mom, which I thought was dirty from the broadcast in the middle of the meeting. Like, she's a heavy set gal to begin with.

Chris McMonigle (2:23)

A little bit, yeah.

Craig Carton (2:24)

Okay, fine. It is what it is.

What you know, like the camera's on her before the director goes, take camera two. Yeah.

She's elbow deep in the nacho sauce on the nacho, right?

Chris McMonigle (2:37)

I know.

Craig Carton (2:38)

Can you let the woman eat the nacho first?

Chris McMonigle (2:40)

They did cut away when she like, when she put it in her mouth, they were like.

Craig Carton (2:43)

What the whole damn thing?

Chris McMonigle (2:49)

Someone just sent it to us. I guess it was Gallo or somebody. What's that?

Someone's doing.

Craig Carton (2:56)

Like.

Chris McMonigle (2:57)

One of the stadiums.

SPEAKER_6 (2:58)

No, that was the Dallas Stars have like a reverse cam.

Chris McMonigle (3:01)

The Dallas Stars have a reverse cam.

SPEAKER_6 (3:03)

Yeah, it's just all hot girls. You know, when I text you things, I thought you would read it.

Craig Carton (3:07)

You know what I don't, honestly, no joke. You guys text me stuff all day and I never look at it anymore because there's no thumbnail on it. Yeah. It just says that you sent me something from Instagram, let's say. Yeah, what are you afraid of? But I don't see the picture.
