Yeah!

Coming up on 5 o'clock, another hour to play.
888-808-109. Carton showed Big Mac enjoying the fact that the Jets are relevant, 2 and 3 The Giants are in first place, more than relevant. Sitting there at 3-1-1. Interesting games coming up this upcoming Sunday, both at 1 o'clock again. No rain in the forecast, which is great. First time we can say that this year. Giants have the Saints shockingly underdogged by a point and a half at home. Jets on the road against the Vision hated rival, the Patriots. They're coming off back to back big wins against the Bills. Then this past week, against the Raiders, all beat in New England. Now, the Jets try to get to 500 When's the last time the New York Jets were 500 in October?
I don't know the answer to that question, but it's got to be a while ago. Unless you want to eat with Salah 500 mid-October, maybe.
Chris McMonigle (0:57)
He's got to be, right? At some point?
Craig Carton (0:59)
Maybe.
Maybe. Never had a 500 season.
Chris McMonigle (1:02)
No.
Craig Carton (1:03)
So, but the point is that it's not happened enough. And the Giants, of course, only won playoff season the last decade. Now sitting pretty atop the NFC East. And as even as Paul Dutina said, don't get Choo-carred away yet. That second half of the season schedule is a beast.
Chris McMonigle (1:19)
That's fair. Right now, they have not played well enough to be overly confident, but the position they're in makes you feel confident.
Craig Carton (1:24)
I'll say this about the Giants. Why I don't think they're a great team just yet. Yeah. In a close game, I wouldn't bet against them.
Chris McMonigle (1:34)
Yeah.
Craig Carton (1:34)
And I know it's against the Titans and the Cardinals and Washington.
Chris McMonigle (1:38)
But if it's a football game.
Craig Carton (1:39)
In a close game, hard not to think the Giants come out on top. Yeah. They've made plays on both sides of the ball.
Chris McMonigle (1:45)
In the last five minutes of the last three games. Again, it's gonna get to a point though where, all right, you know, we got to see, you see the second half of their schedule. Fine. They win this game. They're four one and one. Then they play the Texans. I don't know what they are. They win that game. They're five one and one.
Craig Carton (1:58)
At some point, I think you take a split right now.
Chris McMonigle (2:01)
I would sign up for a split.
Craig Carton (2:03)
Yep. I think you go for two and one. I would sign up for that right now.
Chris McMonigle (2:07)
I would sign up for that right now.
Craig Carton (2:08)
Because then you have to buy and then it gets serious. And again, can you not beat the Eagles this year? Now, who knows what if they're healthier?
Obviously, but they're all banged up, right?
Chris McMonigle (2:19)
That's the game, right?
Craig Carton (2:20)
Devontae Smith out, Saquon Barkley out, the offensive line in shambles right now, coaching on the hot seat, right? Dallas Cowboys defense being shredded by teams.
Like, you can make an argument that the Giants, you build up and stack enough W's before that schedule gets tough, you can hang on and win a division title. That's the point.
Chris McMonigle (2:41)
That's what I'm saying.
Like, again, the Saints and Texans to me are winnable games. They just are. Saints, it's almost like if you want to continue this thought of winning the division, this is a big game. You can't lose to the Saints at home. Right? And again, that goes back to the hardball flaw. Right. Winnable games in your building. They're 3-0 in this building. Got to go to 4-0 against the Saints team. Then you got the Texans who, again, I don't know how good they are, Bye, week, and then that's like. That game against Philadelphia?
That's a crossroad right in the middle of the year. Coming off the bye the extra week, go out to Philadelphia. What does Philadelphia have that? What does Philadelphia have before and after?
SPEAKER_1 (3:19)
The Eagles real quick, I'll give it to you in one second.
Chris McMonigle (3:21)
Give me the Eagles schedule before the Giants. What are the Eagles doing in week eight?
Craig Carton (3:25)
Give me one second. I think they have their bye, no. Eagles are home against the Panthers this week. They are one point favorites in that game.
SPEAKER_1 (3:32)
That's this week. That's this week, I'll just give it to you real quick.
