I finally got to meet Don's brother who is, other than Peter Rosenberg, probably the most knowledgeable wrestling person that I'm aware of as far as knowing everything there is to know about WWE and all the other promotions. Met Dave yesterday at Fanatics Fest. Great dude. So, shout out to Dave La Greca, but Don is back today. Look forward to hearing him and Peter coming up at 3 o'clock. Until then though, you got me. I mentioned Fanatics Fest. I wanted to mention this. Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart are absolutely incredible human beings. And I think, Nick fans, you knew this already, but these guys appeared at Fanatics Fest multiple days, interacted with fans, but on Saturday in particular, they were on the Nick's panel with the entire starting five, besides OG and Ennobie. I don't know where OG was, but it was Bridges, it was CAD, it was Brunson, and it was Hart. Taylor Rooks was the panel moderator, and it was the four guys on the team talking about their experience winning the championship and what it's been like and all that. It was good stuff. And then, because they had previously agreed to show up to the Nick's Twitter tournament, that's right, a bunch of Nick fans who met and know each other through their love of the team on X Twitter. They do an annual pick up basketball tournament for Nick's Twitter. And last year, Brunson and Hart were upset they couldn't make it. So they said, we'll go this year no matter what. And it happened to coincide with Fanatics Fest. And they showed up and took time and went to a gym on 94th Street in Manhattan and hung out with fans, took pictures. So I feel bad for anyone who spent a thousand bucks to take a picture of Jalen Brunson at Fanatics Fest. He took selfies and pictures for free with people at the NYX Twitter Meetup. And then Brunson had to go to the Garden to be part of WWE with Roman Reigns in a monsoon, where I'm sure they were stuck in traffic and it was a mess logistically to get to everything. But they were men of their word. And it's rare you see a superstar athlete get it the way Jalen Brunson gets it. He just understands his role in this city. He understands how much he means to people and actually give back the way he did. But think about it. James Harden is not showing up to a Cavs Twitter meetup. He's not. Some of the other superstars in the league aren't doing that. Jalen Brunson is arguably one of the most famous people on the planet now following the NBA Finals. His star may never be higher than it is right now, and he's still taking time to show up to a Knicks Twitter basketball meetup, in between appearing at Fanatics Fest and then having to be at the Garden to be part of Roman Reigns' walkout at WWE, which then features Tyrese Halliburton too, because he also loves wrestling as well.
So I just wanted to give love to Brunson and Harden. You just don't see that from superstar athletes. It would have been very easy for them to say, ah, sorry, I know we said we were going to be there, but we got to be at WWE. The weather is terrible. It's going to be tough to get all the way from the Javits Center on the west side to get all the way up to 94th Street. And they were there.
Pretty unbelievable, man. It really is. Nick fans, we are certainly lucky to have those two guys on this team.
