Look to your right. Every time I look, he is just so happy.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:06)
Marcus, can you go to that microphone right there, if you don't mind? I know you gotta get back to work, so I'm gonna knock this out. This is my buddy Marcus. He owns Captree Clam Co.
in the South Bay. If you need clams, go to Captree clam.com.

**Craig Carton** (0:20)
I'm gonna take them up on it.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:21)
They got oysters, they got clams, they got shrimps, they got everything. It's a full-service seafood place. And their local business, we like to watch and see local businesses thrive. And he's a self-made guy. Him and my buddy Jimmy Oyster's out there. But he is also a Boston Red Sox fan. So Marcus, the joy you get watching my partner squirm a little bit as the Red Sox have won like 38 out of the last 40 games.

**Marcus** (0:47)
38 out of the last 40 Let me tell you something, go Sox, let's go baby.

**Craig Carton** (0:52)
He's just so excited.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:54)
I'm gonna give him your phone number.

**Craig Carton** (0:56)
Oh please.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:57)
So every night he can text you.

**Craig Carton** (1:00)
As long as he sends me some oysters, I'll take them.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:02)
We can set that up, don't worry about that. I got you covered on that.

**Craig Carton** (1:04)
I can tell, I can tell he enjoys it. He grew up in a neighborhood that was, or in an area where it was divided, Yankees and Red Sox. Yeah, all the smart guys though, they're Red Sox fans.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:15)
Meaning he grew up in Connecticut where, you know, you can't trust anybody from Connecticut.

**Craig Carton** (1:21)
That's a whole other conversation, you know.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:23)
So you grew up in a town, well, what town in Connecticut was it?

**Marcus** (1:26)
Berlin.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:28)
High school football champs, by the way, state champs.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:30)
Did you play?

**Marcus** (1:31)
I did play, yes.

**Craig Carton** (1:32)
I'm talking current champs. We weren't champs.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:33)
Got it.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:33)
The current team of the champions. Got it. So the question for you is, was it like by street, by house, by neighborhood? You told us off air it was a very clear black and white divide.
Red Sox here, Yankee fans here, and either you learned how to fight or you went along with the neighborhood, right?

**Craig Carton** (1:54)
That's right. Absolutely.

**Marcus** (1:55)
It's kind of like a family-based thing, I think.

**Craig Carton** (1:57)
You were born into it. Then it was a clear, like I said, there was a clear line.
There weren't many Yankees fans.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:04)
There were a handful.

**Craig Carton** (2:07)
The further south you got in Connecticut, closer to New York, there are probably more Yankees fans.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:10)
Got it. So I think you guys should work something out here, if I may make a suggestion, all right? These are my buddies, obviously, and I'm big supporters of their company. Here's where I think you guys should have an agreement. Now I don't gamble, obviously, but I think you guys should work something out. Like if the Yankees finish this year, since you're tied in the loss column right now, Yankees have played one extra game, they've won extra win, all right? That if the Yankees wind up, regardless of who wins the World Series, if the Yankees finish the season ahead of the Red Sox, you agree, Marcus, to let Big Mac name a new oyster for next summer. He gets to pick the name of the oyster. If the Red Sox, however, wind up having a better record than the Yankees, then we would use something, flip that, and we have a Red Sox-themed oyster that he has to be the spokesperson for.
Is that fair? Are you okay with that?

**Craig Carton** (3:04)
I'm fine with that.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:06)
So, the payoff's not till next summer, because I'm sure there's a new crop of oysters growing. Okay. All the Yankees have to do is end the regular season with a better record than the Red Sox.

**Craig Carton** (3:16)
Yeah, but he's the only thing.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:16)
And you have your own personal, and on my dollar, we will give you 500 oysters throughout the summer next summer. All right?

**SPEAKER_4** (3:28)
I'll cover that. But he's the only thing I'll say.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:30)
Hang on.
But if the Red Sox finish with a better record, then you're the spokesperson for the Fenway Oyster. Okay. You're in on that?
