Lehigh baseball set a Division I record by scoring 20 runs in the first inning of a 38-6 win over Coppin State on Tuesday.

Matt Jones (0:47)

Having been on the Lehigh and Coppin State campus, was this a cultural exchange program game?

Myron Medcalf (0:54)

Those rosters look a lot different. They didn't want to go to Lehigh, and they definitely didn't want to go to Coppin State. They might have played that game in the park somewhere.

SPEAKER_4 (1:05)

Myron Medcalf.

Matt Jones (1:06)

That's like a Denzel Washington movie, Come to Life.

Myron Medcalf (1:09)

Except we didn't win.

If Denzel was involved, we'd get the W. We lost 20 to We might have to leave baseball after that.

Matt Jones (1:19)

We came all the way out here, this little po-dog town in Pennsylvania.

Myron Medcalf (1:23)

Cause you want to have a little Jackie Robinson day moment. Give me off this dog on field, man. Take this jersey, coach.

Never again.

SPEAKER_4 (1:35)

Matt and Myron, on ESPN Radio and on the ESPN app.

Matt Jones (1:41)

Matt and Myron here on ESPN Radio, presented by Progressive Insurance. I was just looking at those pictures again. Like those are gonna be our pictures forever, Myron. That's the show picture right there. Is that forever? I mean, I think so.

Well.

You fire your thumbs up.

Matt Jones (1:58)

Major League Baseball. Postseason is on ESPN Radio. Catch postseason action on ESPN Radio, the ESPN app today. Coverage continues, 730 Game four, White Sox and Guardians presented by Gusto. I think I finally got it. Ryan McGee is here for Marty and McGee. Unfortunately, couldn't get the Zoom to work, but he's with us.

Ryan, are you ready for whatever the hurricanes bring to either Tuscaloosa or Lexington for two of the big games this weekend?

Ryan McGee (2:29)

Yeah. No, it's... I can always tell when it is the...

We're getting into early October slash end of September because I'm checking to see if my flight can make it around a hurricane. Like, it's like that every year. Somewhere I have a picture that one year it was Roman Harper and I were trying to get out of Charlotte and literally it was like that scene in Independence Day where Air Force One is taking off and Washington DC is like exploding behind them. And it was me and Roman like headed to wherever we were going to get out in front of the hurricane. So yeah, it's everybody batting down the hatches. It's going to be interesting, but I'm actually headed to Dallas to see the number one team in the land. I've not seen Texas in person this year, so I'm curious to see them, but I know that Oklahoma is not the number one team in the land.

Matt Jones (3:18)

Yeah, I want to come back to that game, but on Georgia, Alabama, first of all, I mean, are they playing it? Like, is that a certainty right now?

Ryan McGee (3:27)

The plan is yes. You know, we'll see, right? But right now, that's the plan. The hope is, I mean, and this is no comfort to the people of Louisiana and Mississippi. The hope is that the thing is going to go a little bit further east or west and kind of do an end around. Now, I'll say this. When Hurricane Helene came, which was, what, two years ago, you know, we all thought that thing was going to go way, way west. And as a result, you know, a lot of games were played and maybe shouldn't have been played. I mean, I would think it was the East Tennessee State football team got stuck on the side of the highway because the Citadel wouldn't postpone or cancel the game. And so, you know, it's sketchy when you start trying to figure out where these things are going to go. But as of right now, yes, because they believe they're going to be.

At least East, a little bit East of the worst part of it.
