Craig Carton (0:02)

Hey, hey, hey, hey!

Chris McMonigle (0:05)

It's in the 80s today.

Craig Carton (0:06)

Yeah, told you, gorgeous day. Lot of injuries in the NFL this week. Saw Trey Hendricks out against the Titans. He, I think he broke his finger. He wants to get a baseball player.

Graham's out, Cleveland, that's a big deal. One of the best defensive players out for a couple weeks. So that might be beneficial to you guys. And baseball-wise.

Aaron Donald is out as well. I apologize on that one.

Chris McMonigle (0:29)

And Justin Jefferson with Minnesota.

Craig Carton (0:30)

Yeah, I just heard that one.

Chris McMonigle (0:31)

I didn't know that he was bagged up. He left the game last week.

Craig Carton (0:35)

Yeah, but they didn't, did they say that he wasn't coming back? Maybe I missed it.

SPEAKER_3 (0:38)

I don't think they ruled him out.

Chris McMonigle (0:39)

I don't think he came back into the game last week. And now he's being, I don't think he was ruled out until just today.

Craig Carton (0:44)

Yeah, I did, Pete told me that about 20 minutes ago. And I didn't realize that. That was even a question mark. And then, of course, baseball playoffs continue.

The Yankees tomorrow night at 630 We'll get more into the Yankees a little later on today.

Chris McMonigle (0:56)

And then 8 o'clock every game after that. So it would be 630

Craig Carton (0:59)

Oh, so for the Yankees it's 8 o'clock every game after that?

Chris McMonigle (1:01)

Yes.

Craig Carton (1:02)

God, and for the Yankees it's Saturday, off on Sunday.

Chris McMonigle (1:05)

Correct.

Craig Carton (1:05)

Monday, off on Tuesday, Wednesday, and then if you need a game for Thursday, if you need a game five, Saturday.

Chris McMonigle (1:13)

Correct.

Craig Carton (1:14)

So that's the Yankee schedule. You're guaranteed one home game on Wednesday.

A sweep ends it there. If not, you get a second home game on Thursday at Yankee Stadium. We're the pitching staff and of course, Aaron Judge and John Carlos Stanton. Yeah. They're going to carry more pitchers for this round. So that's for sure. Yeah, I think... Did you happen to see...

Chris McMonigle (1:31)

We got to get into that, because I think I've changed my tune slightly on that after thinking about it last night.

Craig Carton (1:34)

Okay, we'll get to that coming up closer to five. But just real quick, if you're listening to our show yesterday, you know, I don't know what time it was, right around now though, Aaron Boone tried to call in as he was getting ready to board the plane to take off for Tampa with the Yankees. Well, it turns out we had a bad connection, so we couldn't have him on the show because he had no service where he was sitting wherever they were, I guess at Westchester County Airport. But then I checked out Dave Simms' tweet about the problems they had. So they get to the Westchester County Airport to fly down to Tampa. It's obviously a chartered flight, whatever, right?

There was a problem with the plane. So they had to put the Yankees on a bus. They bus them from Westchester County Airport to LaGuardia.

Chris McMonigle (2:20)

Well, I'm assuming it was a bus, but yeah. He says they got on the plane at Westchester at 3.30, left the plane at 6.50. So they're on the plane for three hours. On the plane, arrived at LaGuardia at 7.50. So I'm assuming that means they bused it.

Craig Carton (2:34)

Yeah, they're probably to get the buses there, what have you. So they bus to LaGuardia, they then take off from LaGuardia and they fly directly down to Tampa. They didn't get into their hotel rooms till almost one o'clock in the morning.

Chris McMonigle (2:48)

Until 12.40, yeah.

Craig Carton (2:49)

Yeah, so a very, very long day for the New York Aggies. Again, it's first class travel.

SPEAKER_3 (2:56)

No doubt.

Craig Carton (2:56)

You're not putting anybody out.

Chris McMonigle (2:57)

If the game was today, I suppose.

SPEAKER_3 (2:59)

Then you could make an argument, maybe.

Chris McMonigle (3:00)

I suppose you could argue they'd be impacted by it, but the game's tomorrow, and it's at 6.30, there's no excuse.

SPEAKER_3 (3:05)

And again, it's private travel.

Chris McMonigle (3:06)

We're not gonna be like the Boston Red Sox who cried and complained about having to go to Tampa to play the Cubs. Nope, we're men.

Craig Carton (3:14)

That's right.

Chris McMonigle (3:15)

That's right, they're men, and they'll be ready to go 6.30.

Craig Carton (3:18)

I was just happy that he didn't lie to us, so that made me happy. He's like, I'm on the plane, we're waiting to take off.
