We're a week away, a week away from the start of the NFL season. You know, something else you told me that I found fascinating. We'll get back to the Giants and Jets, and we'll take your calls, too. Maybe we can get back to the Yankee calls as well, but Giants and Jets calls, football calls. A week away from the NFL season, you did mention something to me before, and I've had, and maybe it's a little bit of a novice take or whatever, but I was joking the other day, I hate the freaking Rams. I can't stand them. I can't stand them for a couple of reasons.
And it's not that they're cheating or anything.
It boggles my mind, and it's more about how competent they are, but it pisses me off that every other franchise needs the first round to be the lifeblood of their organization, and they don't give a damn. And they somehow manage to get... They trade for Miles Garrett, Donald comes out of retirement. Cooper Cup was the greatest wide receiver ever. They paid him the biggest contract ever. The minute he stinks, oh, we'll just go get another all-time great in Adams. They just continue to roll out. Stafford last year, his neck was so bad, they weren't even sure if he was going to play. He wins the MVP. And there's just something about a team where... I know they've only won the one championship, but it's not like they've been the dynasty, like the Patriots or Kansas City. But there's just something about them where it just works out for them. And McVeigh, is he the best coach in the NFL? If he's not, he's right at the top. I do think, you know, maybe slightly overrated. Anyone who's ever had a cup of coffee with him has a chance.

I mean, he's talked about, you know.

I'm not saying he's not great. He's the top pencil and quarter coaches in the NFL.

If he's not one, at worst he's number two.

You think he's the best coach in the NFL?

Well, it's not like, you know, it's possible. Andy's lost his fastball a little bit. How about this? We did a head coach draft and I had the first overall.

I'm taking McVeigh. Okay. And then I'm probably taking...
You know what? I might take Ben Johnson too.

And then Kyle Shanahan would be three. And then we could have the conference. And then Mike McDonald might have to be in there also. You have three of the best five coaches in the NFL all in that division in the NFC West.

**Craig Carton** (2:24)
I know. It's amazing. But yeah, I'm just fed up with them and now they're guaranteed to win the NFC. What do you think about that?
Are they a little bit... We don't know when Donald's going to play. I'm assuming probably just in time for the Giants.

**Nick Kostos** (2:36)
That would be my guess also is that he doesn't play next Thursday in Australia against the Niners and then probably plays against the Giants.

**Craig Carton** (2:43)
Are they the clear-cut best team in the NFC?

**Nick Kostos** (2:46)
Oh, I'll take it a step further. They're the clear-cut best team in the NFL.
And look, betting and picking things are two different things.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:53)
Sure, you want to look for value. You'd like to look for value if you're going to bet.

**Craig Carton** (2:56)
You're looking to beat the Rams.

**Nick Kostos** (2:57)
But you know, like, if I asked you, and thankfully this scenario doesn't play out, but if your life were on the line, who would you take? I think you'd have to take the Rams if your life were, they are, there's no, doesn't mean that they're going to win. They're the best team on paper. But I'll tell you what, they have their weaknesses.
