All right, so 4th of July weekend is coming up and I got a gift. Somebody sent me this from Franklin. There's going to be so many red, white and blue theme items that are going to be worn by the players and Franklin has put together a stars and stripes, red, white and blue batting of what you could see right now. I just wanted to show that.

Told you this earlier, the 22nd of June, I foresaw that this was going to happen to the Yankees. Because I could see the lineup was starting to sputter.
Guys that have played well, starting to sputter, that the weight of losing important players was finally bearing fruit, so to speak. So I warned you of this. I said, don't freak out when it happens. But of course, people are freaking out. Okay, to each his own. And I said in the first hour of the show, if everyone would tune in from one to three, they wouldn't be surprised by the things that happened.
So the Mets lost two out of three to the Phillies. They lost the same score as the Yankees did, five-four. So they lost two out of three to the Phillies. Yankees lost five-four in ten innings. And they didn't hit. So all the same problems that you had with Mendoza, it's going to be the same problems you have with Andy Green. This team doesn't hit. Team doesn't hit. And they don't have enough starting pitch. They literally have four starters. So they're lucky they have an off day this week where they don't have to address that fifth starter. Senga actually came in and out of the bullpen and pitched okay. But they were shot. Their bullpen was shot just to win that one game. And, you know, Senga ends up throwing a fastball that Schwaber hits out for his 30th homer in the year. But I bring this up about listening to me.
Because last year, the Mets came into Yankee Stadium for the first leg of the Subway Series. And I talked to a lot of people on the Mets side. And they told me, boy, Soto is miserable. He's just miserable walking around. You know, he's glum. I think the word I used was glum.
And, you know, he's questioning, you know, the decision that he made, which I think he had no right to question. I mean, he took a lot of money from the Mets and they gave it to him in good faith. And even if you felt a little uncomfortable, which is what he did, you can't be questioning the decision. And anyway, Met fans just turned me into the Antichrist. That I was making it up, I was butthurt as Yankee boy, that Soto left for the Met. I've told you all this a million times.
It's like a broken record. I couldn't care less. I really couldn't. I don't get involved like a fan gets involved. This is what I do for a living. And I try to give you legitimate, right down the middle analysis of stuff that I've heard. And everybody called me a lot, met fans, a lot of met fans, not all of them, because when I went to Citi Field on June 12th, that was the day that Kodai Sanga got hurt on the toss from Pete Alonso, not one met fan came up and was aggressive or nasty or anything like that. Not one. So that's why I always say it's a very small subset. But boy, they, I'm making it up, I'm lying, blah, blah, blah.
