Jerry Ferrara, Turtle from Monterey, the host of the Throwback podcast with Matt Leonard, huge New York sports fan.
He's going to be joining us in about 30 minutes. A lot to get into with Jerry, but right now we got more of your calls coming up at 800-919-3776.
I want to thank all the ESPN New York listeners I met over the weekend. I hosted an event at HQ2 Beach Club, which is down in Atlantic City at Oceans Casino. Great property. Had an amazing time. Wayne Krabette was our special guest. It was a big event for Jet fans. And a bunch of people who listened to the station were there. So it was awesome to meet a bunch of you. It rained a little bit. That didn't matter. We had a great time. So big thanks to everyone who came out to our event with Wayne. Let me say this about Wayne Krabette. I've been around professional athletes doing this job and what I do on YouTube with my Jet Show. He has to be maybe the nicest professional athlete I've ever worked with or got to know.
He must have signed 400 plus pictures and taken 400 plus just photos with fans over the course of three or four hours. Anyway, it was awesome. He was a machine for people. He was great. So shout out to one of the best Jets ever, number 80, which should be retired by the franchise. They don't issue it. It's a lot like Paul O'Neill with the Yankees for all those years. No one would wear it. The one time LaTroy Hawkins wore it, he got booed and then changed his number. The Jets don't even issue the number 80 It should be retired the same way. The game is 12, Maynard is 13, Kleko is 73, Dennis Byrd is 90 It should be the same thing with Wayne Corbett.
So shout out to Wayne. He's the man. Funny story too. I was telling Tom Bauer during one of the breaks earlier that I got a chance to play a little blackjack with Wayne Corbett. So we're playing in the sports book at the Ocean Casino. They have the UFC fights on. They got the World Cup games on.
And we're having a good time. And Wayne wins a hand. And he's sitting directly to my left. And he goes, Jake, count that, like how much he just won. And I'm like, OK, I'm not good at math. But let me try and get this right. 20, 25, 60, 75, 80 And he goes 80, and he dead arms me. That's Wayne Corbett. He was awesome. He was giving out chips to some of my listeners who were there, who were playing at the casino. So just a really good dude. Shout out to Wayne for coming down. We had him on the show on Thursday, and then he came to the event on Saturday. 800-919-3776. David Inelisabeth is first up in the 2 o'clock hour. Hello, David.

**David Inelisabeth** (3:19)
What's going on, Jake? What's going on, everybody?
You know, I have so much to say, but it was a really good event this weekend, man. Each and every one of you were rich to me and me, rich to everybody, a class act, man. I appreciate it. I had a great time.

**Jake Asman** (3:37)
Well, I'm glad that you were able to make it, David. It was awesome to see you and your element out there.

**David Inelisabeth** (3:43)
Oh, yeah, most definitely, man. I appreciate that. I'm not going to lie. It's a topic that I'm going to touch on, and I'm going to also speak to Bart about this tomorrow.
It's coming back up again, the whole DART and Gino thing. So look, I want to give you my perspective on it. So, you know, we were speaking about it at the event as well. This is what I said.
I get it. Everybody's saying that, you know, I would go with DART because he's young, athletic, he's on the rise, and he had a pretty good rookie season, you know, from where he picked up and left off, honestly. You know? And I get that. But I'm going to go with experience again, and a person that's seen it all, a person that knows what it's like when pressure's coming, a person that know what it's like to make certain passes or know when to do certain aspects to win the game or to, you know, at least be competitive. I'm going to go with that. I know people are going to, you know, like, criticize him for his sample size and, you know, where he's put out lately. But think about it. The Raiders had no line. They had no weapons. There's a bunch of things he didn't have, and he was just getting hit. So that's what you think he's going to bring to us this season.
