**Jake Asbinn** (0:42)
That's right, Dodd. Michael Kay is not here. Jake Asmin is. Ray Deanahan right now. I don't even know if the YouTube cameras can see this. He's doing not one, but two jobs. He's running the board and producing, screening the phone calls. So if you call into the show, make sure you say, thank you, Ray, for working extra hard. We got some people on vacation this week behind the scenes. So Ray's doing not one, but two jobs. Board hopping, producing, what can't the man do?
800-919-3776 number to call to be part of the show. I heard Chris Carlin reference this this morning. The Jets having a new helmet. Oh, Jake's gonna have a field day with this. I don't really know what to say other than I like it. I think it's a nice look. The Jets have a white helmet they're introducing this year with their primary logo, right? They have the classic white helmet that they wore with the throwbacks that they wore during the Nameth era and then again in the Parcelles era. Basically the jerseys that they wore the last, you know, 25 years before they changed them for the disgusting Adam Gase looking ones and then have their current ones which basically look like the ones from the 80s. They're wearing all white and home for the home opener against the Packers in week two. My only take on this is please win. One of the dumber things that happened last year that people don't talk enough about involving the Jets, they played the Cowboys in an early October game last year at home at MetLife. It happened to be a day where it was ridiculously warm for the time of year. It was in the 90s at kickoff. The Jets did an all black uniform on a day was 90 degrees outside. They're wearing all black jerseys playing the Cowboys who were all white. I'm sure it was like 10 degrees cooler on the bodies of the Cowboy players than it was on the Jet players that day. That was just a ridiculous premise. At least they got it right for this year's home opener. Hopefully, that doesn't happen in any of the other games with the black uniforms on a day it's incredibly hot. But the Jets home opener is September 20th. They're wearing all white uniforms now with the white helmet. The helmet looks nice.
No criticism of the look. I just want you guys to win games. That's all Jets fans really care about. Win football games. I know it's this foreign concept to the people over at One Jets Drive considering you haven't won more than seven in a decade. Forget the playoffs, which goes back to a 15-year drought. But win football games. Nobody cares about the uniforms.
Nobody cares if you win. They could wear purple and dress like Barney for all I care. If they're winning games, that's all that matters. But the helmets are very nice, so I will say that.
800-919-3776, number to call to be on the show. Herm Edwards is going to be joining us to talk some football with him coming up at 2.30. So don't go anywhere. We'll talk Jets with him, but let's get to some of your calls right now. David and Elizabeth is first this hour. Hello, David.

**Jake Asbinn** (3:39)
Did you say your name?

**SPEAKER_7** (3:40)
Yes, he said my name. Yes. What's going on, Jake? I have my daughter over here. He said David.
I appreciate it big time, brother. I want to say this, man, as far as addressing our team.
For the NEA fights on the defensive side of the ball, I would just like to see Bailey challenge Olu and Membu. If he could challenge them, that we're moving in the right direction, because those are some of the best linemen in the NFL. Not saying these are the best, but they're up there. We're top tier. Our linemen and our defense, well, I would say line of defense for the line, is top quality. And if Bailey could disrupt them and give them some trouble, I think we're turning in the right direction and he should have a positive season. Ponds, you know, I would like for him to at least maybe get an interception, break up some passes. Just basically do what he does, honestly. And you know how I feel about Glenn, man. I feel the same way you do. Either he's gonna get it done or somebody's gonna come and get it done for him. And before you let me go, Jake, a person saying that you're not a good radio guy, I don't know why. I look at you as the JR Smith of radio. You came over from China, you're the sixth man, and now you're on the way to winning the championship. Your box office, brother. Appreciate you.
