Three o'clock, Carton Show, Big Mac.

Jets lose, Giants lose, Knicks tomorrow night. It'll be a fun week here on The Fans.

Now, here's the Alan Glenn story. So, obviously at halftime, going in, he does the interview with the gal, and he, among other things, says, well, we get the ball basically out of the locker room, intimating that the Jets are gonna receive the kickoff in the second half. But, of course, the Jets were not supposed to receive the kickoff in the second half. Alright, so, that became a big talking point after the game, that, you know, Alan Glenn had no idea that the Jets start off on defense in the second half. So, after the game, he's doing a press conference, but I guess it's a Zoom press conference, as I understand it, and when somebody asks the question, hey, Aaron, how did you mess that up? How did you not know that the New York Jets were going to kick to open up the second half? The YouTube feed suddenly, mysteriously, went black, and that was it, just cut out. I'm not even sure when it came back in. Now, do you believe that it was A, a mistake, B, do you think the Jets did it on purpose, or C, did we ever get the answer?

SPEAKER_2 (1:25)

I think I did read somewhere, to answer C, I think I did read somewhere that one of the beat guys put out that his comment while cut off did say that I meant the next time our offense takes the ball.

Craig Carton (1:37)

Got it. Just pretty much. Not to take it literally.

SPEAKER_2 (1:40)

I knew it wasn't the first possession out of the break, I just meant when we get the ball back.

Chris McMonigle (1:43)

Okay, by the way, if that's what he meant and said, okay.

Craig Carton (1:50)

Kind of hard to believe it.

Chris McMonigle (1:52)

But if that's at least the excuse for it or rationale for it, I suppose I could accept that. I don't know.

Here's the problem with it. When you haven't earned the benefit of the doubt yet, and you are by far the worst kind of game clock manager in football today, it's kind of hard to believe that that's what he meant.

SPEAKER_2 (2:16)

It's kind of hard to believe that. It's kind of hard not to just assume he wasn't sure who was getting the ball out of the half time.

Chris McMonigle (2:22)

No, no. Worse, that he thought he was getting the ball. It's one thing if he didn't know.

It's another thing to be wrong.

SPEAKER_2 (2:34)

It's just that he's so bad at this. He's so bad at every aspect.

Craig Carton (2:39)

And he can't fire him.

SPEAKER_2 (2:40)

Like, I'm sorry.

Craig Carton (2:40)

He's just bad at every aspect. He can't fire him during the season.

Chris McMonigle (2:42)

I'll tell you why he can't fire him. No. Because Frank Craig's no better.

SPEAKER_2 (2:45)

He's going to be the head coach if they fire him. Correct. There's no one else to make the head coach. Correct. He's going to make Frank Craig the head coach. Correct. What would be the benefit of that?

Chris McMonigle (2:53)

There's no upside to that at all. Frank Craig's come back to retirement after this year exactly where he belongs.

His time, look, he's made a lot of money good for him.

Yes, rightfully so. So I want to be clear, I'm stuck with Aaron Glenn for the entirety of this season. No matter how many more bad losses pile up, Aaron Glenn is coaching all 17 games. Because the only guy you could go to is Frank Craig. And Frank Craig is a disaster as offensive coordinator for this football team. And I don't care how many analytics he tries to shove up my ass on Thursday. He's a bad coordinator. There's no creativity. There's no week to week changes in the type of offense we run. No, we almost never throw the ball deep unless it's too late. And then all of a sudden we score a touchdown on it. We forgot that Gatt Wilson is on the roster.

Right? Sadiq, who gets cleared to play, is a non-factor.

And we're running back of running backs up the middle out of the shotgun on third and fourth and one. And it drives me crazy.

SPEAKER_2 (4:02)

That's a good summary.

Chris McMonigle (4:03)

Thank you.

Craig Carton (4:04)

I thought I put some work into that. I thought about it.

SPEAKER_2 (4:06)

That's about everything that we've come to expect from Frank Reich.

Chris McMonigle (4:09)

Here's Danny in Centerport on the fan. Danny, good afternoon, sir. How are you?
