Get ready for a great weekend of football. You got Indiana, Ohio State tomorrow at noon. You got the Giants at one o'clock. Get home against the Saints. You got the Jets at one o'clock on the road against the Patriots, excuse me. And it's wide open.
And I think the point you made about 45 minutes ago, that after last night's game in Seattle, Bo Nix was dropping to 500 And Sam Dornal having a tough night last night, even Bo Nix winning the game for the Broncos. You know that last night, Bo Nix, I think it's a modern day record, he did not complete a single pass last night where the ball traveled more than seven yards in the air.
Chris McMonigle (0:44)
That's crazy.
Craig Carton (0:45)
And further than that, when you look at the average amount of yards, completed passes, when? You know what the number was?
Chris McMonigle (0:55)
Just for last night from him?
Craig Carton (0:56)
Yeah, for I guess average yards per attempt, pardon me.
So what do you think is, and here's just to give you a comparison, anything over seven is considered, you're like a top tier quarterback. So if you average seven yards per attempt or more, you are considered an elite quarterback. So that's a little, just a comparison for you.
Chris McMonigle (1:18)
Two and a half.
Craig Carton (1:19)
Okay, so Bo Nix last night. Yeah. Average yards per attempt was how much?
Chris McMonigle (1:27)
Three.
Craig Carton (1:28)
Three?
Zero. Wow. Let that sink in. That's how bad he was last night. So bad that Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is not like a gotcha type of guy, or let me just bust balls kind of guy, he said yesterday after the game, and I'm paraphrasing here, that Bo Nix disrespected the position of quarterback in the NFL.
Chris McMonigle (1:53)
He doesn't want to throw the ball down the field. He's scared to. He's scared.
Craig Carton (1:56)
He's like Justin Fields was scared to throw the ball down the field.
Chris McMonigle (1:59)
And they have called plays to go into his fear. I mean, everything is screen passes.
Pete Hoffman (2:03)
Right. Everything. Yeah.
Craig Carton (2:05)
It was crazy.
Chris McMonigle (2:07)
Crazy.
Craig Carton (2:07)
Imagine what we would do to Bo Nix here in New York.
Chris McMonigle (2:09)
Oh my God.
Craig Carton (2:10)
My own. Anthony, why are you in the studio right now? Just out of curiosity.
Anthony Gallo (2:14)
I was summoned.
Craig Carton (2:15)
You were summoned?
Anthony Gallo (2:16)
You know, I have information on sweatshirts.
Craig Carton (2:19)
Real quick, is that what I said?
Anthony Gallo (2:20)
You're trying to distract me right now with a Broncos conversation.
Craig Carton (2:23)
I'm trying to stick to football here today, but if you have an update on Hoodie Gate, I'll definitely listen to what you have to say. Go ahead.
Anthony Gallo (2:29)
You know, I think this is fair notice that if you text me, know that the show comes first above anything. Correct. And a young man, you know, wetting his toes full time. All right. Rami Lavi, you know, new assistant producer of The Morning Show, texts me last segment, that hoodie was so comfortable, by the way, I can't wait to wear it again. Then follow it up with, it was a generous gift from Boomer.
Craig Carton (2:55)
Interesting. So he's mocking the fact that he's wearing stolen goods that was earmarked for me and Pete Hoffman. And he's kind of rubbing it in your face now that he's going to wear it again.
And what a great guy Boomer is for giving us clothes that were not meant to be given out.
Pete Hoffman (3:12)
Is that what he's saying?
Anthony Gallo (3:14)
Yes.
Craig Carton (3:14)
So I would say this to Rami. Have I ever met him? Have I met him before?
Anthony Gallo (3:19)
I'm assuming.
Craig Carton (3:20)
And the reason I ask the question is because I do have in front of me, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, 10, 13, 14, 15 emails from, you said Rami Lavi, right? ALVI?
Anthony Gallo (3:36)
Yeah.
Craig Carton (3:37)
15 emails from Rami. And pardon me one second, one, two, six, eight text messages. So combine 23 attempts at communicating when he used to read right in and beg me for a job.
And beg me to teach him how to be a radio producer. And beg me if there's any opportunities at all for a young kid that loved WFAM. So if we want to play that game, I would say this, if you wear the Jet Hoodie in this building at any point this season, I reveal the emails and text messages.
