SPEAKER_1 (0:03)

Against my window I sense a theme here.

Chris McMonigle (0:06)

A little rainy day theme.

Craig Carton (0:07)

You're making rain jokes, he's playing rain songs.

Chris McMonigle (0:10)

I'm not making rain jokes.

Craig Carton (0:11)

Yeah.

Chris McMonigle (0:12)

You're being very cavalier with certain things.

Craig Carton (0:15)

I'm being cavalier?

Chris McMonigle (0:16)

Very cavalier.

Craig Carton (0:17)

How's that? I'm the only guy that gives a right to ask about my community. You guys wrote about six inch plastic toys. I'm not worried about anything. Yeah, and ceremonies for a guy that, yo, probably wouldn't give you the time of day if you met him on a subway. That being said, what a special day today is going to be for CC Sabathia.

I heard a rumor that the reason CC Sabathia told the Yankees, no, I want to do it today, is that he was afraid if he didn't, Derek Jeter wouldn't show up next year for him.

Chris McMonigle (0:46)

It's possible. It's hard to get Jeter there.

Craig Carton (0:48)

Jeter doesn't like coming back, right?

Chris McMonigle (0:49)

It's hard to get Jeter there.

Craig Carton (0:50)

Unless he's driving that Wagoneer over the bridge, which he's probably never done.

Chris McMonigle (0:55)

He was just here for another event, too.

Craig Carton (0:58)

I think he came for Fox for a while.

SPEAKER_4 (1:00)

Oh, no, he's been here for Fox.

Chris McMonigle (1:02)

No, but he came for...

Someone else was getting honored, wasn't it? I thought like... I mean, they honor everybody now. They honored the 96 team early in the season. He wasn't there. Yeah. Old timers day, not there.

Craig Carton (1:11)

Right.

He doesn't like coming back that much. But I guess you got to come back for CC. Here's your best pitcher in 09, right?

Chris McMonigle (1:20)

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_4 (1:21)

Yeah. You're okay with that? People are worried about you right now.

Craig Carton (1:24)

People are concerned about your welfare.

Chris McMonigle (1:26)

Why?

Craig Carton (1:27)

Because they've listened to the show for the last hour.

Chris McMonigle (1:29)

I'm actually starting to feel...

SPEAKER_4 (1:31)

Yeah, you're starting to feel better. You said about what? Last hour? What did I do in the last hour?

Craig Carton (1:34)

I'm just saying, Big Mac, I'm just the messenger.

SPEAKER_4 (1:36)

No. I'm starting to feel better. Better about what?

Chris McMonigle (1:39)

I got my Yankee playoff juices flowing.

Craig Carton (1:41)

Yeah, okay, good.

Chris McMonigle (1:42)

We're a couple of days away from the start of this postseason.

Craig Carton (1:45)

They'll save you from the Giants failures, of course.

Chris McMonigle (1:48)

Well, now I'm starting to turn the page. Look, I still think what I think, but Sunday there's a football game, and I'm looking forward to it. At Andrew Thomas practice today.

SPEAKER_4 (1:56)

I saw that. I saw that.

Chris McMonigle (1:57)

Hopefully, Andrew Thomas is playing. That should help the Giants a lot.

Craig Carton (1:59)

Are you really looking forward to the Giants?

SPEAKER_5 (2:00)

Yes, of course I am.

Craig Carton (2:02)

You want to see the Jameis Winson era get off to a rousing start. Is that fair to say?

You feel like everyone's counting them out, the Giants, the season's over, and all of a lot of a lot of.

Chris McMonigle (2:12)

I told you, I think they can win six, seven games. I think if they're going to do that, it starts, one of them has to be Sunday.

Craig Carton (2:16)

I think a desperate Titans team would play much better against Philadelphia, is going to give you all the business you want, and then some.

Chris McMonigle (2:23)

I think it's going to be a tough game, yeah.

Craig Carton (2:24)

Joining us on the hotline right now, Robert Sala, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. Coach, oh I guess we lost him. Lost him, yeah, tough. Stephen and Ramsey, I'm the fan. Stephen, how you doing today, pal?

SPEAKER_5 (2:38)

I'm doing great. I just want to make sure that Big Mac stretched today because he's tying himself to not trying to make sense of this Cam Schlittler not starting game one thing.

Craig Carton (2:51)

Go ahead, sir. Your take is what?

SPEAKER_5 (2:54)

He should start game one. He's the best pitcher in the American League. He's the Yankees' best. Even if he wasn't the best pitcher in EAL, which he has been, he's the Yankees' best pitcher. They start game one of the playoffs. Also, if he starts game one of this series, he's eligible for game two in the next series.

Chris McMonigle (3:10)

Oh, is that a fact? Is that a fact? So he's not available for game two if he pitches game two of this series. Is that what you're saying? If he pitches game two...
