1-800-919-3776. Hope you all are having a good day. Football started last night, and the Seahawks are defending Super Bowl champions. They beat the New England Patriots by three points, 13-10. And once again, Vegas is scary good. It was a three-point spread. I said, take the Seahawks, and the Seahawks won by three. So obviously, a push will have our two-pack for sure. My two picks I give every Friday. That will be indeed tomorrow. Drake May did not look great. Three interceptions, they were driving. They had a surefire game-tying field goal within easy range. And then Drake May got a little greedy off his back foot. He went toward the end zone and interception, end of the ball game, and the Seahawks end up winning. So it's funny overreaction. Everything is overreaction. Now we're questioning Drake May and the kind of quarterback he is. Well, last year, he did not have one game where he threw multiple interceptions other than the Super Bowl against this great defense. And yesterday, he had three interceptions. Doesn't mean he's a bad quarterback. Doesn't mean he's overrated. Doesn't mean that New England is not good. It just means that he had a bad day. And I contend this. I really do. I think football rips off its fans. It really does. It simply does. Because the first four weeks of the season, it's like boxers feeling each other out in the first round. It's silly. They're not playing real football. There's so many mistakes. People are not in game shape. They're afraid to play their regulars during the three preseason games. So instead, you get people that are struggling to find their way. And I thought that Mike Tomlin on the postgame show made a great, great point. Drew Locke had a takeover in the first series when Sam Dornan went down with a bad hip. Supposedly, it's not as bad as originally thought, and he could be back shortly. But Drew Locke has not played a lot. But Mike Tomlin said it was actually an advantage to have Drew Locke play in game one rather than game six. And, you know, the people on the desk looked at him, and I thought it was a brilliant point. He said the people that play the most in preseason games are the backups. He said, so Drew Locke has been playing forever. He's been starting games. He's getting the most snaps. Sam Dornan didn't, because they're protecting Sam Dornan. So if you're going to get somebody hurt, and you're going to put your backup quarterback in, the best time to do it is in week one. He's probably the sharpest player, probably the sharpest player on the team. And he had a really, really, really good game. He battled through a lot of penalties for the Seahawks, which is unusual because they're a pretty well-drilled team, and they won the Super Bowl last year. But taking over for Donald, who was a big part of that Super Bowl, that was some heavy lifting. I thought Drew Lock did a really, really good job. And the fact that backups play the most during the preseason does make them the most ready. They're probably more ready than the starting quarterback. I mean, you just take a look at the Giants and the Jets. How many times did we see Gino? How many times did we see Dart? We didn't. Now, they practiced the most with the first team, but there's nothing like game reps. And the bottom line is the backup quarterbacks get game reps. Jameis Winston saw more time. Cade Klubnik saw more time.
