Hey babes, it's Paris Hilton. So I was checking my points balance in the Hilton Honors app the other day, and yeah, I've got about a billion, which feels excessive, even for me. Just kidding, you can never have too many Hilton Honors points. And I wanna do something iconic this summer, so I'm giving away all my Paris points. Just find somewhere you've always wanted to stay, then go to my socials or Hilton's and tell me about it. Just make sure you're a Hilton Honors member, and I might be sending you Paris points, because when you want points that make your summer even hotter, it matters where you stay.

Jake Asbit sitting in for Michael as we take you till 3 o'clock. Good afternoon, everybody. Thanks for spending part of your day with us. Michael's not on the radio, but he's in Chicago. Yankees playing back to back day games today. They go from the south side of Chicago to the north side. Yankees, Cubs, 220 First pitch. We'll talk some Yankees, of course, in the opening hour. Trade Deadlines Monday. Brian Cashman, you got till Monday at 6 to fix the Yankees because the team as currently constituted is going nowhere. I don't need Jeff Passing to try and say that if the Yankees made zero moves, they can get to the World Series. That's not reality. If you watch this team the way Yankee fans do, you know this team is going nowhere without major additions to the lineup. I keep hearing people try and talk about adding Mason Miller or Tarek Schubel. The Yankees need bats. They need offense. There's a move they can make right now that they should make. George Lombard Jr. should be up here by now. All right, I got to keep hearing how good he is. There's amazing prospect, generational. All right, then call him up and play because the Yankees need a spark. They need to do something. There needs to be something that is done to try and improve this offense. I mean, how many games are we going to watch of the same thing and then nothing happens? We know the Yankees can't hit. We know they stick in extra innings. So you have the perfect combination the last two days, where the Yankees score two runs over their final 22 innings and lose both games and squander two awesome pitching performances by Schlitler and Weathers.
The Yankees wasted their entire bullpen over the last 48 hours because they can't get a big hit, they can't play small ball, they can't play situational baseball. Their defense fails them, so then Bednar has to come into the game on Monday, which then affects the other games in the series. It never ends.
Tampa, of course, wins yesterday, so now they're three and a half out in the division. And I heard Dan and Carlin talking about this. Do the Yankees need to win the division? Yes, yes, they do. Under Aaron Boone, they don't win the division. Guess what happens? They don't go far in the postseason. So winning the division matters. It mattered last year.
How to work out when the Yankees didn't win the division, even though they had the same amount of wins as Toronto, and they had to play in the wild card round. Couldn't set their pitching, and it clearly impacted them as they started the first two games of that series in the ALDS in Toronto, and they lost.
They need to win the division. And right now, the NY Yankees are four games out in the loss column, three and a half in the standings. Brian Cashman has got to get to work.
Because this offense is disgusting. I mean, the Yankee offense, I can't remember a year, it's this bad, and yes, they have injuries, I understand that. It shouldn't be this bad to the Yankees. And I don't think any Yankee fan feels great about Will Warren starting today, despite having a 5.6 ERA in his last 14 starts. So you wasted the last two days where you got great starting pitching, and now, Will Warren goes out there today. Should I have confidence as a Yankee fan they're going to score runs and support him?
We're going to be joined by John Boy, Jimmy O'Brien, who's one of the hosts of the Talkin Yankees podcast. He made this point in a recent episode, Will Warren, the Yankees should use an opener with him, because you can't trust him to be a starter right now. But that doesn't appear to be the case, because Warren's the starting pitcher. But to blow the game like they did yesterday and the night before, leads in extra innings and back to back games and have to settle for a split, that is just unacceptable. Jazz getting picked off, unacceptable. This answer from Boone is laughable.
