We thank you for joining us on this Thursday, October 15th, 2026 Me and you for two of those other rules of engagement. And it's the fastest moving two hours in sports talk radio. And one of the reasons is because I have such great co-hosts. And the way to become a co-host, the application number is 1-800-919-3776.

1-800-919-3776. Two o'clock, we get a chance to talk to Chris Simms. Take a look at the landscape of the NFL. Big Thursday night game today. The Broncos against the Seahawks, so that should be fun. We have an ALCS game three that's been moved to one o'clock. So we'll keep you abreast. If you want to listen to that game, that's on 1010, our sister station, 1010 Espn, 1050 Espn radio, oh no, I said 1010, that's Wins, 1050 Espn radio. Let's start with some baseball and start with, I mentioned this yesterday, how hard it is to manage.

Maybe it's not so hard to manage, but it's so hard to manage without being second guessed if the moves don't work. And I always say it's up in the air why the moves didn't work. Did the move not work because you made the wrong decision at the time? Or did the move not make work because you made the right decision and the player didn't perform to the way you thought he was gonna perform? Now, right now, Pat Murphy is the flavor of the month. An old school manager pulls no punches, will pull a player in the middle of a game if he doesn't think he's hustling, has no compunction whatsoever in embarrassing one of his players to make them play better. And so far, it's worked well. They've won more games than any team in baseball. And after last night's game, the 6-2 victory over the Dodgers, they're up three games to nothing in the NLCS. They're one game away from going to the World Series. The first time the Brewers would have been to the World Series since 1982 Now, do I say it's over? Well, I say it's mostly probably likely over, but I wouldn't count the Dodgers out. I say the odds are astronomically low for them coming back. It's done only once before, and Yankee fans certainly don't need to be reminded. It was done in 2004 There are three games to nothing over the Red Sox, and boom, the Red Sox came back, won four, five, six, seven, and history was rewritten. And the Red Sox finally got off to Schneid from 1918 They won the World Series. And the baseball landscape changed. But we move away from Pat Murphy, and now we'll go back to Pat.

So they had a 1-0 lead after five innings. Robert Gasser had pitched very, very well. Gasser was one of the people that Milwaukee got back in the Josh Hader trade, where Milwaukee, the players gave up on the season when when Hader was traded. And Milwaukee has to make tough decisions like that, because Milwaukee knows that if it holds on to a Josh Hader, they're not going to be able to sign him. And they'd rather get players that they have scouted in the minor leagues than, you know, take a crapshoot on a draft pick. So one of the players that got back in the Josh Hader deal was Robert Gasser. And Robert Gasser pitched five shutout innings against a Dodger team that right now is playing anemic baseball. And you figure that Pat Murphy can't wait to go into his bullpen, right? And the reason he loves to go to his bullpen is bullpen is great. A lot of hard throwers, different pitch shapes from right, left side. They're really, really good. And he deploys them quite well. So he brings in Abner Uribe to pitch the sixth inning. And you can see right from the jump, Uribe was all over the place. Couldn't throw a strike. And when he did get out, so swings and misses, they were swings and misses at pitches that were out of the zone. When the Dodgers were patient, they were working walks because Uribe could not throw a strike. Now he has DL Hall warming up the bullpen, the hard-throwing left-hander. And again, Uribe is struggling. And here comes Shohei Otani, who is really struggling. And he decides to keep in Uribe, which I didn't quite understand. Didn't quite understand that. Because you left these up for what? Probably to pitch to Otani. But this also shows you how little respect this present iteration of Otani has. He's hurt. He's not driving the ball, not hitting the ball hard. And it's a conundrum for the Dodgers. They don't want to embarrass the biggest star in the world by benching him, but they keep dropping him down in the order. And he keeps in Uribe to face Otani. Now, Otani knows he's not going to swing the bat very well, so he works a walk.
