The Stanley Cup Final on ABC is more than a quest for the cup. It's 134 years of putting it all on the line, and the heaviest 35 pounds ever lifted. It's broken curses and broken hearts. But for those chasing it, it's everything. The only question is, who will take it? You just have to watch The Stanley Cup Final presented by Geico on ABC and the ESPN app.

Well, wasn't that fun last night? I mean, you can't dream of nights like you had last night if you are a New York Nick fan or a New York sports fan for that matter. Let's be truthful about the whole situation. What is going on everybody? Happy Thursday, the fourth day of June 2026 It is the Kay Show, but it is the Grasse Show for the next two hours on this celebratory Thursday afternoon here in NYC. 800-919-3776. That is the telephone number. Two big hours. We're taking a run up until 3 o'clock. Then it is Don, Han, and Rosenberg who will carry it for the rest of the afternoon. Ray Deanahan and Julian Kushnick are here. They are producing the program today.
If you're a Knicks fan, obviously, I want to hear from you. I didn't grow up a Knicks fan, but as a sports fan and somebody who does this for a living, I easily have gotten caught up in this ride, and in this run that this team continues to take their fan base on. I mean, obviously, I've been a part of the broadcasts for the last, I don't know, seven years, eight years, whatever it's been. So to say that this is a long time coming would be putting it mildly. And I say this partially tongue-in-cheek, and I was thinking about, like, okay, what's the first thing that I'm thinking about when this game ends last night? Not only like the Knicks again do what a lot of people don't expect them to do, I guess those that don't necessarily watch them on a night-in-night-out basis. But the other thing that came to mind is they just continue to roll over their opponent, gut games out, find ways to pull it out in the end. I'm being dead serious about this. Because if nothing slows them up over the next week, and this is a four-game sweep of the spurs, which I'm not saying it's going to be, okay? So relax, pump the brakes. I'm not saying anything crazy. But if they just continue to roll over San Antonio, like they continue to roll over everybody else, somebody's got to get a hold of the Atlanta Hawks and that organization down there in Georgia. Because I cannot be more truthful. The Hawks should raise a banner next year on opening night when they kick off the 26 slash 27 season. And the banner should say, we led the New York Knicks two games to one in the first round. We had a lead in a series against the 2026 New York Knicks. Because right now, I'm running out of superlatives. Like what more can you say that hasn't been said already? 12 wins in a row, 11 of them by double figures. They even find a way to make last night's game a double digit victory. Even though they were down by 14 points in the third quarter on the road. Against a supposedly unconquerable opponent. 7'4 from France, more on him in a bit.
They only play in their fifth game last night in 24 days. What rust? It doesn't matter. And remember, I say rest over rust any day of the week. You take it. They trailed by 22 in game one against the Cavaliers. Doesn't matter. Down by 14 last night, third quarter on the road. No bother. Nothing phases this team. And then you get down to crunch time last night. A little over two minutes to play. You're down by a point. What does this team do? They flip the switch and they end the game on an 11-0 run. Are you really all that surprised that it happened? You shouldn't be if you've watched them.
And then after the game last night, you know, I'm sitting there and calming down from the game and just trying to process everything that we just saw, texting all my buddies and whatnot who were like bouncing off the walls with the way that that game unfolded last night. And so I sit there and I start to do a little bit of a deep dive on San Antonio. And I'm looking up their run through the playoffs here. One, two, three, ba-ba-ba, add it up. Really, wait, no, that can't be. Is it really? Don't, don't, don't. And then I came across this little nugget. San Antonio had played 18 postseason games going into last night. 18
