This episode of Family Trips is brought to you by Cologuard, a non-invasive colon cancer screening test. You know, Poshy, once you're 45, it's time to screen for colon cancer. No matter how young you look, Poshy, it's one of those things that's easy to put off because you think it'll be a hassle and life is so busy. Yeah, and I think a lot of people assume they need to schedule a procedure, take time off work, or deal with all the prep that comes with a colonoscopy, but that's exactly why we were interested in trying the Cologuard test. The process was honestly incredibly simple. I requested the test online via telehealth professional who's delivered right to my door. I completed it at home. I sent it back without having to press fast or rearrange my schedule, my busy schedule, my podcast loaded schedule. Yeah, same here. It fit right into my day and it really took away a lot of the excuses people have for putting screening off. It's non-invasive, can be completed at home in about 15 minutes, and it can detect 95 percent of colon cancers. We also learned that colon cancer is actually the number one cancer killer of people under 50 in the US. Good news, it's also one of the most preventable cancers. So keep up to date with your screenings. So if you're 45 or older and at average risk, don't wait. If you've been putting it off, you're definitely not alone. But this is one of the things that's easy to take care of. If you're 45 or older and at average risk, talk to your health care provider about screening for colon cancer and ask if Cologuard could be right for you. You can also request a Cologuard prescription today at cologuard.com. Cologuard products are intended to screen adults 45 and older at average risk for colorectal cancer. Do not use if you have had a personal history of colorectal cancer or polyps, have inflammatory bowel disease, a family history of colorectal cancer or certain hereditary syndromes, or a positive result from another colon cancer screening method within that test's recommended screening interval. Cologuard results should be interpreted with caution as positive and negatives do occur. Available by prescription only.

Hey, Sufi! How's it going? Good. How are you? I'm doing very well.

My wife has been out of town for a week. Yeah, you saw her in Los Angeles. Yeah, we had brunch. Mackenzie and I were not usually brunch people. If we have a weekend morning that we can just get up and hang around the house, that's what we want to do.

We knew Alexi was here, so we reached out and she's like, how's 8.3 in West Hollywood? We were like, but you get out 8.30. That's because that was just so early for you. Yeah, it was just earlier than we wanted. That's getting up at 7, getting the dog out, getting showered on a morning when you could theoretically sleep in. But it was so lovely. It was a gray morning. The sun hadn't come out yet.

Beat the crowds, lovely brunch. So nice to see her. It was really, it was great. And it just got us out of the house. It sort of gave us a day that we wouldn't have had otherwise. I had, because she was gone, I did not have a single night without one of my children in bed. Like they just kind of rotated through. Yeah, because you don't got those boundaries. We don't got those boundaries, but I will tell you, buddy, I couldn't, I'm actually sad it's over. She's getting back tonight and it was just so nice.

Like I'm just realizing like they're not going to want to do it forever. And I'm like, this is the best and they all are different. Like it's mostly Addy and Axel, like Ash is, you know, I think he's kind of, you know, he wants to be the big kid and he doesn't want to do that.

He whines a little bit about the fact that he keeps forgetting that he could have done it. And but Axel wakes up so early and then just for an hour tries to wake me up while pretending he's still asleep. So he's just a lot of like, ah, ah, ah.
