There's a service in Florida where we were living. It was called like Plant Parenthood.
That's a choice of a name. So what they would do is like, if you were really rich, you would hire them and they would do the interior plants in your house. They would do exterior plants, too. And then they would come by, they would take care of the plants. And then when you wanted to refresh, they would dig them all up and bring in new plants.
William Osman (0:20)
What did they do with the old plants? They saw them or what?
Kevin (0:23)
They would try to, you know, like, get them looking good again. Re-home them. They would have an annual sale where all these plants were like 95% off. And Sandra and I would go there, totally deck out our house with the drippings from the rich people.
NileRed (0:38)
That's what I was going to say.
William Osman (0:39)
There's like, we are not the same energy happening here. Like, yeah, like somebody that has so much money that they're spending it on. Like, what would you even call this?
Kevin (0:54)
So John is still dead.
William Osman (0:55)
John still died. Is the music still going?
NileRed (0:57)
Where is he?
William Osman (0:59)
No, John, unfortunately, he passed away doing what he loved.
Kevin (1:03)
Yeah. We should have invited you to his celebration of death.
NileRed (1:08)
I'm sorry. Really? Well, I'm glad I died.
William Osman (1:14)
No, John is got his house sitting someone's house. But the way he described to me, it sounds more like a vacation.
Kevin (1:21)
Yeah.
William Osman (1:22)
And I know I'm not mad. I'm not mad.
Kevin (1:28)
What's the difference between jealousy and envy?
William Osman (1:31)
I'm jealous, not envious. You know, my vacation, did I ever talk about my vacation that I went on? The last time I went on a vacation? Nigel, when's the last time you went on a vacation? What are you absolutely hammering down right now?
Oh, don't show this to my child, she'll freak out, she loves those. Was open sauce a vacation for you or is that work? Where do you put that? Is that like somewhere in the middle?
NileRed (2:03)
I would say that it's probably more vacation than it is anything.
William Osman (2:09)
Wow, you're lucky bastard.
NileRed (2:14)
OK, yeah, for people who are not you.
William Osman (2:17)
For me, it's like, imagine going to Disney World. You spend, you spend like, let's say going to Disney World costs you your entire year's salary and you don't then you get to Disney World and you don't actually get to go. Instead, you get to like, you don't get to ride the rides.
NileRed (2:31)
You don't get to ride the rides.
William Osman (2:32)
You have to go around the park sweeping up vomit.
Anyways, continue about the vacation experience. I'm going to live vicariously for a second. Please.
NileRed (2:41)
You mean for open sauce?
William Osman (2:42)
Yeah, I'm going to vicarious living.
NileRed (2:45)
Yeah, it's what I was, what I, it's basically a vacation.
I would say the only thing that would make it a pure vacation is if I didn't have, like if I didn't sign up to go on stage, so there were no like responsibilities, then it's pure vacation. But it's like the responsibilities I have are like going on stage for what, 30 minutes, four times or something or three times. So in the span of like two or three days, I have like an hour or two of stuff I have to do.
William Osman (3:18)
That's a lot. That's a lot.
NileRed (3:21)
But it's just, it's also not like- Mentally preparing. Right. Yeah.
William Osman (3:24)
Yeah.
NileRed (3:25)
There's a lot of that, for sure. No, so I would say that makes it mostly vacation, but because I have like a shred of responsibility, and it's related to my quote unquote job.
William Osman (3:39)
Right.
NileRed (3:40)
I don't know why I'm saying quote unquote. That is my job.
William Osman (3:42)
When was the last time you had a proper vacation? Was it in Brazil?
NileRed (3:45)
Yeah. In April, I think was like, I was going to make a joke, but I actually did have a proper vacation.
William Osman (3:52)
You know, the last vacation I went on, I went camping for three days with my wife and child.
Kevin (3:59)
Oh, yeah.
William Osman (4:00)
Which I think does count as a vacation.
Kevin (4:03)
But not a proper vacation?
William Osman (4:04)
But not like a proper vacation, but it was nice. I think the actual last proper vacation I've been on.
