Hello, and welcome to SideQuest. This is our weekly video game show here at GeekVerse. I'm your host, Dylan Mustin. I have with me Peter the Park, Taylor Field. How are you doing, my friend?
**Taylor Field** (0:27)
I'm doing good. I forgot to change my nickname after the weekend.
**Dylan Mustin** (0:30)
Yeah, that's from Spidey, right?
**Taylor Field** (0:32)
That's from Spidey. You got it. Travis had no clue what it meant.
**Dylan Mustin** (0:36)
Did you have that on the Spidey review, though?
**Taylor Field** (0:38)
No, I had it yesterday because we're talking about Spider-Man versus Doomsday at the box office.
**Dylan Mustin** (0:43)
Okay, yeah. It made sense to me, but I got Peter Parker on the mind.
**Taylor Field** (0:49)
Yes. Happy to be here.
**Dylan Mustin** (0:51)
Yeah, absolutely. This is gonna be a fun episode of SideQuest. We're gonna be talking about something that's in plain. We're gonna do a bit of a preview for the second half of the year. I don't know what's in August, so we're already technically past the second half of the year. But yeah, we're gonna just kind of look through that calendar. A bunch of new things have been announced or have release dates that didn't when we did this back in January. So that'll be fun to check in on that. But we're gonna kick it off, of course, with a Patreon question that me and Travis answered last week. But I want to get your take on it. And then whenever Kirklin's on the show next, he'll answer it as well. And that was from Sam Green asking, which video games do you wish you could play again for the first time? Whether that's like the magic and discovery of uncovering secrets in a game for the first time, or maybe just like those early memories of checking out a new multiplayer game for the first time. Taylor, what comes to mind for you? What are some games that you wish you could play again for the first time? Just vanquish your mind, your memories of it, and have that fresh experience in 2026 today.
**Taylor Field** (1:47)
I mean, immediately, Halo Reach is absolutely one.
**Dylan Mustin** (1:51)
That's a great game.
**Taylor Field** (1:52)
That story and that campaign, I've been playing, I think I mentioned it a few episodes ago, Sidequest, that I was trying to play through it again, and slowly but surely make my way through it. And yeah, it hits different as an adult because you actually understand the stuff they're talking about in the story cutscenes, but I would love to play that again. So you got that.
**Dylan Mustin** (2:14)
Well, I'll just cut you off real quick, which is that, it's interesting, because Halo Campaign Evolved just came out, or it's about to come out, I think it just came out, right? I wonder if, because there's new missions in that, I wonder if people will have a bit of that experience, where you can experience the first game again for the first time, because there's new content, new missions that were never there before, and it looks really good and whatnot. So hopefully, people can have a similar experience. But I think Reach, out of that whole series of games, that's a really good pick for this particular question, I think, especially because it's got remastered versions and stuff, so it still looks great when you're playing today.
**Taylor Field** (2:47)
It does. Yeah.
It holds up. It holds up so good. I would love to get what they did to Campaign Evolved, if they do that to Reach.
**Dylan Mustin** (2:55)
That'd be cool. Oh, my goodness.
No. I don't think so.
**Taylor Field** (3:00)
I saw that there were talks for Halo 2 getting the Campaign Evolved treatment.
**Dylan Mustin** (3:05)
I can see the trilogy, but I don't know if they'd go past the trilogy.
**Taylor Field** (3:08)
I would think so, too, but they already did an anniversary for 2 and revised it, but then 3 never got any love. 3 had this anniversary. It's like, well, that's a shame.
**Dylan Mustin** (3:17)
Did 2, when they did that anniversary, did it have any new content, or was it just a coat of paint?
**Taylor Field** (3:22)
It was just a coat of paint and a beautiful coat of paint. It was, oh my gosh.
**Dylan Mustin** (3:27)
Thanks.
**Taylor Field** (3:28)
Yeah, but other than that, I would take both Call of Duty World at War and Modern Warfare 2 because you have the zombies for the first time, and then you've got Modern Warfare 2 playing Michael Myers and all those different like 360 no-scope, Ballista's Interventions, or not Ballista's, just Interventions and Barrett, 50 Cals I think was the other one. This was so much fun.
