This episode of Mention It All is brought to you by Ford Expedition. If summer is about one thing, it's about getting the group chat together and taking the trip you've always talked about. And the Ford Expedition has enough room for the whole crew, so you can hit the open road and rediscover what you're capable of together. I love any excuse for a good road trip. And when I was thinking about this for today, I was thinking about a road trip that I went on a couple summers ago. It was just one friend of me, and we went upstate for the weekend, and I got to drive. And I don't get to drive all the time. So it was so nice to just be with the open road, and then when you get where you're going, you can just like take a little detour, you can stop in a little store, you can go to a cute little cafe, and then you get where you're going, and you can have bags overflowing in the back of the car. And there's just nothing like being on a road trip. And so being here with the Ford Expedition is just getting me in the mood. And I feel like I need to plan another summer road trip soon because it's been a couple years since I've really gotten into that road trip vibe. And boy, I'm getting in the mood now. This season went well, is going well.
Dylan Hafer (1:09)
Yeah.
Hailey Glassman (1:10)
And yeah, it's a great experience. And I could write a whole book about how you went from tabloids to Real Housewives in New York City.
Dylan Hafer (1:19)
I feel like you have such a unique kind of trajectory compared to anybody else on the show.
Hailey Glassman (1:27)
I'm a phoenix that rose from the motherfucking ashes, baby.
And I'm an experienced, don't give up, keep pushing forward. I've been discarded as trash more times than I could count. But the point is, keep moving forward. Dory had it. Just keep swimming.

You're just keeping swimming. We...
Hailey Glassman (2:10)

Keep moving forward.
Dylan Hafer (2:14)
Tell me about your decision to do this show, your decision to put yourself kind of back into the public eye in a way.
Hailey Glassman (2:23)
Well, I didn't want to go down. My only regret, well, outside of my eyebrows from one of my only mug shots, I don't say one of my mug shots because I only have one, but I didn't want to go down as this homewrecking Hailey was just, I did the time, not the crime, and it was something that really bothered me always. And no matter how many years passed, it's still something that people would always take a cheap blow at me. Anytime someone wanted to hurt me, they would be like, oh, well, you're homewrecking Hailey, or you're this or that. So ironically, I had like, this was like maybe a year and a half ago, I had this dream. I know it sounds like crazy, but I had this dream that I was in this house and I was trying to get out, and I couldn't get out, and I just kept going out the door, being in the same spot. And in my dream, I realized in that dream, a piece of me was dead and that I couldn't get out of this dream. And then I woke up and I was like, oh my gosh, to me that dream meant like I wasn't living to my full potential, and I was still like letting the past paralyze my future to my full potential because I was so afraid of what people would think about me.
So I woke up the next morning and saw this casting from Shed for Rhony and applied. And here I am after like it was like a year of casting or something.
