Do you ever get finished doing your dishes and shining up your kitchen surfaces only to realize that you didn't wash everything and that there are still dirty dishes lurking in your house? Welcome back to Clean With Me Podcast. In today's episode, I'm going to talk you through cleaning your kitchen step by step. And this show is different than other Clean With Me style videos in that I expect you to be cleaning while you're listening. So I literally guide you through the process of cleaning your kitchen step by step. But even if you're just passively listening to the show, welcome. But please understand that I'm going to talk to you as if you were cleaning along in the hopes that you will be. Okay, let's get right into it. The first thing I want you to do is gather up any dirty dishes from around the house. Maybe there is a mug on your nightstand, or maybe someone left a cereal bowl and spoon on the table, or a plate and a fork on a desk somewhere. Let's get all those things gathered up. I'm talking about doing a quick walkthrough of your house and taking that stuff to the kitchen. So I'm going to give you a couple minutes to do that. In case you're new to the show, I'm Ronnie and this is the podcast where I talk you through cleaning your house step by step. This is not one of those cleaning videos where you're there just to get inspiration from watching someone else clean their house or you're listening to a motivational talk. No, this show is about you cleaning your own house and I'm going to talk to you while you do it and help you stay focused and on track.

And if you do like watching the video component of it, maybe you could set the phone in your windowsill or something. But a lot of you would probably enjoy it just as much if you put on some earbuds or headphones and stuck the phone in your pocket and just started working that way. And of course, you can also hook it up to a Bluetooth speaker. I remember when my kids were little, I didn't want to listen to headphones while cleaning because I needed to be able to hear what was going on with my little ones. So I used to play my podcast on a Bluetooth speaker while I would clean. So that might be you. Just know that I'm going to talk to you as if you were cleaning along. Okay, hopefully by now you've brought all of your dirty dishes to the sink area.

The first thing I want you to do is get any difficult items soaking. I realize your counters might be cluttered. We're going to deal with that in just a minute, but we want to make wise use of our time while cleaning the kitchen. So that's why I feel that it's important to get the difficult items pre-rinsed and soaking. I'm talking about a pot or a pan that's been sitting out, and the food is either dried on or baked on. You want to pre-rinse that, fill it up with some hot water and some liquid dish detergent, and set it aside so that it can soak while you do the rest of your dishes and clean the kitchen. Okay? By the way, you might need to pull something out of the refrigerator, you know. I know you had well intentions when you put those leftovers in the fridge and you somehow needed them to do their time before you could be honest with yourself and throw them away.

Let's get that pan out, okay? And let's get it scraped out and fill it up with hot water and get it soaking. And you're probably thinking, I've got a pan that's so dirty that even if I fill it up with hot water and put a little bit of liquid blue dawn dish soap in it, it's going to need to soak longer than just a few minutes, and I'm not going to get it clean during this episode. I've got you. If you have a dishwasher, you probably have dishwashing detergent or even the dishwashing pods. I like to drop a dishwashing pod into the pot along with the hot water and dish soap to supercharge that soaking session. So if you have one, drop it in and let's move on. Hopefully, you've gotten those difficult items soaking. If not, just keep working on that. Keep in mind, you don't have to be an exact sync with the episode. As long as you're in the kitchen and you're following most of my prompts, your kitchen is going to look amazing after the session. Obviously, no two cleaning sessions are alike. Your kitchen could have a different layout than mine. You can have a different number of dirty dishes in your kitchen than maybe another listener does. I get that. But just be working in your kitchen while I talk. And if you can follow a prompt, follow it. If not, just finish what you're doing and jump in later with what I'm saying.
