Guenther Steiner (1:32)

Hello, Vankahs.

Matt Elisofon (1:35)

Ciao, Vankahs.

Brian Muller (1:37)

Andiamo, Vankahs.

Guenther Steiner (1:41)

Do you know what andiamo means?

Brian Muller (1:43)

It means let's go.

Guenther Steiner (1:45)

Wow. You really know everything, as I mentioned before, before we started this.

Brian Muller (1:51)

I'm an honorary Italian. You know, Kimi Antonelli, he's the goat. So I think it's time that I move to Italy, become an Italian citizen, and be the one Kimi Antonelli fan that lives in Italy. I think that's what's next for me.

Matt Elisofon (2:08)

Well, he might have got a few more fans. Guenther, you were there.

Do you think their people are finally waking up?

Guenther Steiner (2:15)

I think so it's happening, you know? I think it's happening. I think people were trying to be in denial and hoping that Ferrari will be the champion. But I think, you know, I would say after Monza that ship has sailed, you know? So, but...

Brian Muller (2:34)

That ship has sailed for this season or for like a lifetime?

Guenther Steiner (2:36)

No, this season.

We cannot speak. If you say now for lifetime, nobody comes to watch us anymore, you know? So that's not... Well, I don't know.

Brian Muller (2:44)

I think a lot of those kids that were crying, you know, having their first kind of like in-person Ferrari letdown, might say, they might say that, hey, Papa, why don't we root for Kimi Antonelli? Why are we rooting for Ferrari when we could be rooting for Kimi?

And then their father or mother is like, I don't know. It's because it's what we do. We have to root for Ferrari.

Guenther Steiner (3:09)

Get used to it, kid, you know?

Brian Muller (3:13)

That's right. That's right. But you think people are maybe waking up to the Kimi Antonelli in Italy now?

Guenther Steiner (3:19)

Yeah, I would say.

But you have to think as well, you know, Ferrari is like the national team and everybody is rooting for it. And now this kid comes along and there was no Italian driver, I think it's 60 years that the last time won the world championship. It's a long time and you forget how to win, you know? So, and obviously for Kimi being in a Mercedes, doesn't help him to get popular, you know? Oh, we have to, yeah. It's like, it's Mercedes is the biggest opponent of Ferrari and he drives there, so you still, I hope my team wins, but this kid in that other team is like, this Italian guy plays in another football team, you know, and he's pretty good, you know?

I think now we start, and I think he deserves it. I think what he does is extraordinary. And, you know, he should be in a Ferrari, that would be the ideal world.

Brian Muller (4:14)

Well, it would be ideal for, you know, the Italians. I don't know if it would be ideal for Kimi Antonelli, because he wants to be in the championships and turn into the greatest of all time. I don't know if he's going to do that at the Scuderia. Well, we have so much to discuss. There's obviously Kimi's historic drive, this championship all but sealed at this point, George Russell's depression, Jack Wolf on the radio, and of course, everything that went down with Ferrari, the drivers running into each other, Lewis sounding off after the race, and everything that went on with Pierre Gasly, the podium and the reversal of the podium, Flavio Briatore making wild accusations in the press conference. We obviously need your opinion on all of that. Of this episode of Vankah Hours, part of the Vox Media Network. But before we get into that, couple orders of business. One, subscribe wherever you are listening or watching, and Guenther, tell the people what we got going on in Austin.
