MuggleCast: The Harry Potter Re-Read Podcast
October 7, 2026
Because the past sure can hurt a lot, MuggleCast this week celebrates a direct connection between Harry Potter and his mother Lily. Hopefully her letter isn't the only secret hidden away in the dusty corners of Grimmauld Place.

Chronic migraine is 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more.
SPEAKER_3 (0:34)
Botox, on a botulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine before they start. It's not for those with 14 or fewer headache days a month. It prevents on average eight to nine headache days a month versus six to seven for placebo.

Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, Myasthenia Gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects.

We ran to the Apple Store. We logged on to muggonet.com in the leaky cauldron. Melissa and company were there too, and we reported the news.
Remember, we was on the radio, too. And JK Rowling announced that Dumbledore is gay. Like, that's really, it was on the radio in the New York City taxicab.
Eric Scull (2:18)
And the people at the Apple Store were like, you guys want to buy anything?
Andrew Sims (2:22)
Welcome to MuggleCast, your weekly ride into the world of Harry Potter. I'm Andrew.
Eric Scull (2:26)
I'm Eric.
Micah Tannenbaum (2:26)
I'm Micah.
Laura Tee (2:28)
I'm Laura.

And we're your Harry Potter friends here to talk about the books and the movies in the upcoming TV show. So follow us in your favorite podcast app for new episodes every Wednesday.
This week, keep in mind that windows to the past sometimes hurt a lot because we're discussing Chapter 10 of Deathly Hallows, Kreacher's Tale. And joining us for today's episode is one of our Slug Club patrons, Hanna. Welcome, Hanna, to MuggleCast.
Hanna (2:54)
Thank you for having me.
Andrew Sims (2:55)
Thanks for joining us Americans. And can we get your fandom ID, please?
Hanna (3:01)
I am definitely a Hufflepuff. All the tests say that.
My favorite book is Pristin of Azkaban. No, that's my favorite movie. My favorite book is actually this book, the Deathly Hallows. And I know I'm in the minority, but I actually really enjoyed the camping scenes. So that's one of the things that make it my favorite book. And my Patronus, I think I remember, was a grass snake back in the Pottermore days.
Andrew Sims (3:30)
And what is your favorite how self in light of today's discussion?
Hanna (3:35)
Well, there's not that many how selfs we really get to know, but I will always have a soft spot for Dobby.
Andrew Sims (3:42)
Oh, good. And I must apologize to the how selfs. I said, what is your favorite how self? Who is your favorite how self? You all are creatures, not things.
Well, anyway, welcome, Hanna, to the podcast. I guess it was meant to be that you're on this episode because your favorite book is Deathly Hallows. And also we're catching you right before you're coming over to America. So the timing just is coincidentally perfect.
Micah Tannenbaum (4:06)
Can I ask one more question? Did you read Deathly Hallows in English or was it Norwegian?
Hanna (4:12)
No, I read the first maybe four books in Norwegian first and then I switched to English.
