Hello, my friends, welcome back to Cloud Wars Minute. And while I am a man of peace, there's no question that the wars are breaking out around us here in the Cloud Wars, and we've got a new one, the AI Deployment Wars. And this involves Google Cloud, OpenAI and Anthropic. Each of these companies has evolved very rapidly from being almost lab-focused companies with tremendous AI models. Now, the pace of innovation of these models is remarkable.
The capabilities, the power of them is stunning. But what that leads to is a huge demand among customers now to not just slip in a piece of technology, but to change companies dramatically from top to bottom. So that's why the focus here now is on these Deployment Wars. I want to take a look at the three different approaches that these companies are taking. I've got a very detailed, I think, pretty interesting article on cloudwars.com later this morning that goes in depth into how each of these three companies is approaching this. How are they going to take this very cool technology and turn that into customer success at the point of deployment for these customers? There's different approaches here. Google Cloud has become one of the most highly valued companies in the world. A market cap of more than $4 trillion for the last several months. OpenAI and Anthropic are both moving rapidly toward highly anticipated IPOs, or probably raise more than a trillion dollars in each of those cases. You know, unprecedented almost, except for what Elon Musk has recently done. So money is not the issue here. The challenge is how do they set themselves up to be not just great creators and technology, but deployment enablers for some of the world's largest companies doing unbelievably complex projects, embedding their futures on AI. So we've got three different ways that these companies go about it, but what they have to do is how do we ensure customer success here, right? So yes, the technology is vital, but the technology is enabling the real goals, which are transformation and the ability to move and grow quickly. How are they going to ensure customer success at every level? How are they going to change the processes companies have, the way they do business, the mindset, the technology, the opportunities they have, the strategy and the cultures of these companies? How are they going to tackle technical challenge that nobody has really ever handled before? It's not just doing things that are known and doing them a little better. This is remarkably different.
How are they going to stay focused amidst all of these other challenges on ensuring that fast moving market realities can be handled here, right? They've got to be nimble, quick, flexible, resilient, able to handle a lot of different things at the same time. And across these three big, very fast growing companies, we've got three very different approaches. And that is what the article that I'll be posting later this morning on cloudwars.com goes into in detail. But if I could take a swipe at that myself here on this video, Google Cloud, I think, stands apart in its approach because Google Cloud is going almost exclusively with partners, its ecosystem, both big systems integrators, boutique firms, industry specialization, technical specialization, functional specialization. We'll have some more details coming up over the next week or two as Google Cloud adds some additional new enhancements to what it's doing. But I got a lot of detail in this article about what's happening there. But Google Cloud is going to go almost exclusively with partners. Both Anthropic and OpenAI are saying that they have both funded, along with a lot of partners, deployment companies that will use for deployed engineers who are employees of either OpenAI or Anthropic, out at the point of the customer to complement or supplement some of what partners are doing.
They'll also looking to build big partner ecosystems that again, mirroring some of what Google Cloud is doing. So they'll have industry specialization, they'll have functional specialization or technical specialization. So all three are going with ecosystems, but both OpenAI and Anthropic are supplementing those with their own teams of four deployed engineers, Google Cloud going almost exclusively to its ecosystem. So this is a wild situation. We'll be following this closely to see how this plays out. The big thing is these companies are moving from technical expertise into now, how do you turn that at the point of the customer into great success for those customers? Fascinating times.
Thanks for being with us here at Cloud Wars Minute. I hope you have a fantastic day.
