Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise: 12 Eye-Popping Outcomes

Hello, my friends, welcome back to Cloud Wars Minute. Wanted to fill in some pretty interesting details about customer outcomes with AI projects from Google Cloud. Ones that are using Gemini Enterprise got 12 pretty eye popping examples of that. These were released last week at the launch of the Gemini Agent event, and CEO Thomas Kurian laid out a dozen of these very, very interesting detailed customer outcome stories. Broadly, just want to mention this again, it's almost 500 Google Cloud customers, each processed more than one trillion tokens in the last 12 months to show the scale at which Gemini is being used by big companies, and 90 percent of the Fortune 100 are now using Gemini Enterprise. So that's the broad scope. And here are some of these pretty cool ROI stories with AI. Department of Defense, with 3 million users now using Gemini Enterprise, and those 3 million altogether have built 100,000 agents with them. Interesting to see that this is in a highly regulated, highly secure environment, and it's been rolled out and adopted and deployed at that scale, with 100,000 agents being built by those people in the DoD. Commerzbank, document processing costs cut by $30 million with the help of Gemini Enterprise.

NTT cut 300,000 hours from document access and retrieval. They said it went from 2 weeks, in most cases, to now happening instantly.

Grupo Marista, an insurance firm, cut the time for processing hospital claims from 72 hours to 4 hours. And Liverpool, one of Mexico's largest retailers, built a discovery agent and they built that and deployed it in one week. And they have said now that it is expected to have a 10x ROI on the money that it costs to run that trial.

Thomas Kurian said in relation to this one with Liverpool, he said the question that he now frequently gets isn't, can this AI technology work? But rather it is how quickly can we get this up, running, and begin to harvest the advantages and the benefits from these projects? And I think what we see here, Google's kind of famous for having more than a dozen products with more than 2 billion users, I think, not Gemini's. Gone over the billion mark, they're accustomed to being able to work at enormous incredible scale. So they've got that going with all those trillion token users. They're showing they can scale. These deployments cover a huge range. Now you might have noticed that I promised in the headline a dozen of these, but the limitations of my AI powered whiteboard here only allowed me to get to five. But in a detailed article I have later this morning on cloudwars.com, I'd list out the full 12 here. There might even be 13, a baker's dozen even. But across different industries, different ways that businesses are using AI here to either accelerate the pace of their operations, to make their people more productive, to cut down on a lot of busy work, get people doing more valuable high-level work, and in many cases, generating new revenue streams, boosting the customer experience that's happening here. I guess my broad thought overall for business users is, if you look at what some of these examples that other businesses, they're not piloting, but they're getting these into production, using them, getting the real benefits out of them. If you measure your own company's aspirations and achievements to date with AI against these, are you going to feel happy about that? Are you going to feel like you're fallen behind the times here? I think these are great projects here that are going to stimulate a lot of ideas for how others can do things to advantage in it, also showing the pace at which AI is moving from trials rapidly into production, and the need for speed that every business has to have today when it comes to their AI strategy.
