All right, before we get into the game, I just have a little bit of good news. Good news. Here's some good news stories making the rounds. A Wisconsin man named Ernie came to the rescue for you. Detroit Rock Band recently. You guys hear about this? A band called the Autumn Kings were driving down a rural highway following a performance at Rockfest and their van broke down. It needed two days of engine repairs. So the group was basically stranded, but they needed to be somewhere in 10 hours, 500 miles to the next show on Michigan's Upheaval Festival. Ernie came to the rescue. He handed over the keys to his Ford Explorer so the band could finish their tour dates. That is one trusting guy. How cool is that? He just said, here you go. Make it work. Rock and roll. Rock and roll. The father and son in Texas turned a simple game of catch into a year-long tradition. A dude and his 10-year-old son Colby made a goal to play catch every day for 365 straight days. They struck it. They stuck with it through the rain, the snow and the darkness. They reached 365 and celebrated milestone with one more game of catch. They announced plans to retire the well-worn baseball that they had used the whole year.
That is so cool. And get this, a tiny chihuahua named Flagg may have helped save his owner's life after repeatedly pawing at the underside of her arm for years.
The owner eventually checked and was diagnosed with aggressive form of breast cancer.
Now the owner is cancer free and says that Flagg's unusual behavior prompted her to go to the doctor. She noticed that the dog stopped pawing at her arm after the first round of chemotherapy and has not done it since. So how cool is that? The dog saved her life. All right. Well, that was some of the good news and here's the bad news.
