What's going on? John Hansen here. Brian Drake and I are back with another edition of The Fantasy Points Podcast, keeping track of the vibes all summer. We're about a third into the month of August. Not a lot in terms of preseason action, but we've got some good vibes already in Baltimore, Green Bay, Indianapolis, LA Chargers, even the Cleveland Browns. Also have some less than ideal vibes in places like San Francisco, DC and Tampa.
Hang tight for an interview as well, by the way, on this podcast with Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun Times, checking in on those Chicago Bears. We had to get to the bottom of the Luther Burden hype and I think we did. So as always, thanks for subscribing, hook us up with a good review and you're welcome.

**Brian Drake** (2:35)
All across the Fantasy Universe, we're another week closer to NFL football. I'm excited, you're excited. Let's get excited together. It's Brian Drake, it's The Guru, it's the Fantasy Points Podcast. How are you doing everybody?
John, we are about a month away from the start of the NFL season, and I mean, every time I open my phone, I'm kind of like holding my breath because I see a new injury pop up, and we're gonna talk about a few today.
But we're gonna do today what you are most known for, man, and that is just spitting out vibes. No one has built a career better on seeing and talking about and knowing vibes better than the Guru. How you doing, pal?

**John Hansen** (3:17)
I'm doing well. And yeah, it's early for this. I do love myself some vibes and keeping track of that. So, you know, there's only so much information we can go off of. We're first and foremost going off of injuries or players coming off of injuries and their health, like Daniel Jones, who looks good, good vibe. And, you know, some exemplary performances, if you will. You know, you got to kind of probably string together multiple days of like balling out and practice before the media at this point picks up on it.
But, you know, keeping track of everything, honestly, in 2026 is maybe harder harder than it's been in a long time because frickin Elon ruined Twitter.

**Brian Drake** (4:03)
No doubt.

**John Hansen** (4:04)
And it's it's I find myself, you know, like I've been joking around, but I'm dead serious. You know, the good news is for me, this time of the year, oh yeah, you can't really do much good because I can't go outside. It's too frickin hot. It's like Hades out here. So I've been staying home for days upon days, just looking into stuff like, oh, I haven't heard anything about this guy. You got to like go get it, you know, reach out to someone you know or or read a couple of articles or watch interviews and all that. So that's what I've been doing and forming a pretty good foundation. Not every situation has stuff worth talking about here as we record this on August 9th. But in terms of the vibes, I'm trying to be very proactive. So you know, I'm ready to go and react once the game start.
