First of all, I want to thank Stella and Sofia, because it is a lot of work to put these events together. And I think today is just going to be a marvelous event.

Jiang Xueqin (0:13)

Stella actually, we, and I first met in New York City, right? She actually flew down from Montreal to New York City. So I want to thank you for that.

Ben (0:21)

I flew from Italy.

Jiang Xueqin (0:22)

You flew from Italy? Oh my god.

Ben (0:24)

So, yeah, so thank you so much for your commitment and help, Stella. And I want to thank you guys for coming all this way.

Jiang Xueqin (0:36)

Do we have any people from outside of Montreal? I know Daniel, sorry, Ray came from Chicago.

Ben (0:43)

And so thanks so much if you are out of town and you guys have come a long way.

Jiang Xueqin (0:57)

Actually, you know what?

Ben (0:58)

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I need to start over, okay, because my son is here. And sorry, I need to, sorry.

This is an iPad to keep him busy. Sorry, sorry, sorry. We need to start over, okay? Here you go. So welcome, everyone.

Jiang Xueqin (1:18)

This is our Montreal Meetup.

Ben (1:21)

And first of all, I would like to thank Stella and her niece Sophia for organizing such a marvelous event. It really is a lot of work to put these events together. And I think that today is going to be a really nice event.

Jiang Xueqin (1:36)

This is actually my first time in Montreal.

And it's a very special city.

First of all, I got recognized a lot in Montreal, about as much as New York City. But for a reason, people don't ask me for my picture, and I don't know why that is. This morning, I went to a breakfast place to get my son and myself some breakfast. The owner recognized me and gave us a free breakfast. And I was like, wow, this is one nice thing about being famous. I was in New York City and the owner there gave us free pizza. I'm like, okay, being famous means I no longer have to starve.

If I run out of money, I'll just go to a restaurant and someone recognizes me and gives me free food. Okay, so today's lecture is on 17 Frankism, okay? The nature of evil and sin in this world. And today's lecture is going to be different from other lectures I've done in the past, because today's lecture, I'm going to ask you guys to use your imagination a lot, okay? We're going to try to get into the minds of the people who run this world. To understand the psychology and to better understand why they do what they do, the behavior, all right? So we're going to start with a thought experiment. Let's just say you go, you're back in high school and you go on a science field trip to a laboratory. And you're with your classmates, and then for the reason a radioactive spider escapes from the lab and bites you, you feel kind of sick, so you ask to go home and you sleep it off, okay? The next morning, you get up and you feel very different. You feel stronger. You feel lighter. You feel faster. When you jump, you can jump up to the ceiling. In fact, you find that you have a desire to touch the wall and climb the wall.

Ben (3:51)

And so you climb up the building. When you run, you run really fast.

Jiang Xueqin (3:56)

You find that it's easy for you to lift things, like a car. You just lift the car. And it's so you have super strength.

SPEAKER_4 (4:04)

You have supervision.

Ben (4:05)

You can climb.

Jiang Xueqin (4:08)

And at first, you're excited. And so maybe you join the basketball team and you become a star player.

And but after a while, after a few months, this excitement actually becomes anxiety.

Because you are special, but you don't know why you're special. Why is it that there are 8 billion people in this world, but you're different from everyone else? And you can logically explain it. You can be like, well, I was on a field trip, and I got bitten by a radioactive spider, and so that's what happened, okay? But the explanation is not complete. You have to believe that it was not just a radioactive spider, maybe it was a spiritual force, God, or a demon. You don't know, okay? But something powerful chose you, and it causes anxiety in you. You want to know what's really going on, okay? You want to know what the truth of the universe is, and we call this the occult, okay? So when you have a special power, yes, for the first few months, for the first few years, you enjoy it, but eventually, this excitement leads to anxiety. You can't sleep.
