I'm talking about the only three teams in the history of the NFL who went from four wins in one year to the playoffs the very next year.
And yet, if you listen to this radio station, if you listen to New York Giants fans, you guys all believe that the New York Giants are going to be the fourth team to go from four wins to the postseason. It has happened three times in the NFL's history. The Cincinnati Bengals have Joe Burrow, the Houston Texans, of course, with that crazy rookie season from CJ Stroud, and then the Washington Commanders, same kind of scenario, the great rookie season out of Jaden Daniels. Which means if you think the New York Giants are going from four wins a year ago to the playoffs this year, that means that Jackson Dart is a Pro Bowl quarterback.

Listen, do I think they're definitely going to be a playoff team? I don't know, but I think they're good enough to. I think this is a Based on Based on everything you just mentioned.

The quarterback and the coach.

Well, the quarterback coach dynamic. No, no. That's one thing.

Listen, you look at last year's group, right? And offensively, I'm sorry, it sounds weird in my headphone.
You look at last year's group, and both offensively and defensively, there was talent there, and they had games won.

The Cowboy game, the Denver game, the Bear game, the Lion game. We put so much on the emphasis of coaching let them down, and how terrible Shane Bowen was as a defensive coordinator. Like, the coaching staff alone, and I know you're not excited about his first speech, but I can't wait for camp to start. Already, he's going to be a more physical taskmaster kind of coach. They expect, what, 10 practices in the first 11 days, or 11 days, 11 practices in the first 10 days.

And that's what he's known for.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:32)
He's known for being a tough, like, he's going to get everybody in position. This team has talent. They've got a pass rush on this team. They've got an offensive line that's played the best played in a decade probably last year. And I do believe in the quarterback. And you look at this group, you've got running backs when neighbors comes back and is healthy. You got Isaiah likely a tight end. I think there's weapons offensively. I think they have an excellent one unit on the defense with an opportunity to get better. And I want to talk about that in a little bit. But they have an opportunity to get better at their faults defensively. But ultimately, I look at this team and I say last year, if they were better coached, if they were a little more buttoned up, and if they found ways to finish off games, you're talking about a 7-win team last year. I think Jackson Dart takes that next step. I think this coach solidifies this team. And I think you're going to see a unit on the pass rush, a unit on the offensive line, weapons offensively. This has an opportunity to be a team that should absolutely compete for a playoff spot.

Wow. And I've heard a lot of that rhetoric. You just said it. It's interesting that you said it. I heard either Evan or Tiki or Sean say it earlier too as well. You know, if we don't blow fourth quarter leads last year, and if we don't blow the double digit leads we had at any part of the game, not just fourth quarter last year, the New York Giants were a seven-win team. And I find that rationale, frankly, to be somewhat comical. Well, it speaks to the fact that, you know, you weren't either good enough to hold on to a fourth quarter lead, or defensively you weren't good enough to hold on to a double digit point lead, in regards to when you had it in the game or vice-versa. Offensively, you weren't good enough to put your foot on a team's throat and put them out of the misery. And the one thing I can give you a little bit of respect on when you say it, and the other guys have said it as well, how much of that was coaching versus how much of that was, you know, the Giants just weren't as good as the other team. And at the end of the day, 60 minutes in, the better team won the game. Because if the argument is coaching, and you could point, I brought up the Bronco game, I brought up a couple of the games as well.
